They do have their own Archie Comics site, though I don't know about compatibility and such. I know they have their own app, which I got when they were offering a ton of free issues. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Hope the rumored DC sale applies to Vertigo titles. If Image has a line wide sale again I will drop a bundle. Have a wish list filled with stuff.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I knew it would be bad... but I wasn't prepared for concurrent Image, DC, and [likely] Dark Horse mega sales.
Code IMAGE saves 50% only on select titles [including Savage Dragon, Spawn, Chew, Deadly Class, Trees, Descender, and around 950 total others]. I checked and it doesn't apply to the entire line, boo and yeah! Trying to hold off on purchases until I inventory want I "need" from DC and Dark Horse... count me in for some Usagi Yojimbo. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
DC is confirmed, announced on their main website iirc. I'd link it but I'm feeling angry today.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
So, looks like my three favorite comic book companies will have everything at half off (or more in the case of Dark Horse) this holiday shopping season. I need some overtime stat!
New freebie. https://www.comixology.com/CBLDF-Def...l-comic/311989 From Marvel, a Black Friday Collection sale until 12/01/15. https://www.comixology.com/Black-Fri...Sale/page/8910 And yet another Marvel sale, this makes four of them active right now, on Spider-Verse at up to 80% off. 46 singles at $.99 each, ends 12/01/15. https://www.comixology.com/Spider-Verse-Sale/page/8926 Big sale from Image, 50% off everything with code IMAGE until 12/02/15. https://www.comixology.com/Image-Bla...Sale/page/8917 |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Ok, ok, I'll buy all of Savage Dragon if you force my hand. What, there's a cart limitation?

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Is DC's Countdown really as bad a series/event as everyone says?
|
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I'm really pleasantly surprised that Dark Horse's 99 cent issue sale isn't just on their site but on Comixology as well.
...and that it covers all their comics, even this week's new releases. Between that, Image's sale and the DC B1G1, my wallet is going to be sad. |

The weekly series thing was done much much better in the previous "52" series. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
My haul from the Comixology Image sale....
The Beauty 1-2 Autumnlands 1-6 Manifest Destiny 10-17 Shutter 1-15 The Tithe 1-5 Spread 2-10 Reyn 1-10 Mythic 1-4 |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Just to clarify, the Image sale only applies to selected items as seen on the link posted by Trevor. It doesn't include all Image titles.
Edit: I see Undeadcow already mentioned this and I just failed to read. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Picked up the new Frank Miller Dark Knight issue along with Year One, The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Rises, finally.
The Dark Horse sale is going to kill me. |

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
If the Dark Horse sale had included trades and the Image sale was line wide I would have spend 10 times more than I did.
|
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I'm also bummed at the lack of trades and the fact that there doesn't seem to be an extra 10% off code for Dark Horse like in years past.

Ebay is running a today online $100 iTunes gift card for $80 for those of you who use them. It is on the main page.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Am Intbe only one who gets charged tax on iTunes in app purchases but not on Comixology webstore? Adding 8.25% to ever iTunes purchase dampens those otherwise great gift card discounts.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Just a heads up:
I'm still too new so I can't post a link but I saw this on twitter from dark horse (dated nov. 25th): @Wasgo We will be offering 99¢ single issues through Dark Horse Digital for Black Friday and we will announce our Cyber Monday deal Sunday and following a question on bundles: @Wasgo Black Friday is just single issues and Cyber Monday will be trades. No bundles this year. Looks like more info coming today |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Welcome jonahjo! And darn on the no bundles. The bundles combined with the extra 10% off of past years made it easy to justify buying almost everything.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Hmmm. Other new sales are live, Tank Girl, Black Vortex, DH collections, Viz; but no DC bogo.
|
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Both Marvel BOGO codes have started in the morning so likely it will be the same for DC... they did blog about it.
Remember that you can keep the code live in your cart past it's expiration if you entered it while valid and don't check out. |
