Wish I had known, I had a ton of stuff in my wish list that never goes on sale.

I'm glad I checked my email when I did, and that undeadcow found it. I just barely had time to fill my cart with DC favorites a couple times. Then I remembered my wish list, filled my cart again, but the code stopped working.

It works now on that Submit sale fwiw, and some of those crime books are great.

Week 2 of DC's huge sale is on, ending 6/15/15. Remember that DC books are available in the separate DC app where one could buy discounted iTunes cards for some savings versus Comixology proper.
It includes 345 books from the 1980s to 2015 at up to 75% savings.

Comixology has another weeklong sale, this one from IDW on G.I. Joe books; 2 collections and 20 singles at 50% off.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Thanks for the freebies. Wish the DC sale had the complete run of Hitman. They go 1-40. I remember loving the series back in the day.

Death Sentence is pretty good if you like old-school Vertigo/pre-Vertigo stuff like British 80s alt-comics.

I love old school Omega Men (hey, that's the first appearance of Lobo!) but I'm not sure it holds up.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The weekend Dark Horse sale is on 88 Sci-Fi books at $.99 each. Titles include some Aliens, BattleStar Galactica, Bionic Man, Deep Gravity, Ei8ht, Flash Gordon, John Carter, Predator, and Prometheus. Lots of Dynamite stuff, so be careful that you don't already own it on Comixology or one of the 63 Dynamite bundles.
https://digital.darkhorse.com/genre/222/

Marvel has a one-day sale on some highly rated recent series.
Peter David's All-New X-Factor (2014+) 1-20
Charles Soule's She-Hulk (2014+) 1-12
James Robinson's All-New Invaders (2014+) 1-15
https://www.comixology.com/All-New-M...Sale/page/6994

Some new collections have merged into the Marvel collections sale. Unknown duration, but advertised as limited.
https://www.comixology.com/Marvel-Co...Time/list/7116

From Jet City Comics, Symposium 1-3 are on sale at $.99 each, unknown duration. Anyone read this?
https://www.comixology.com/Symposium-Sale/list/7068

The ever repeating Fathom sale is back, ends 6/14/15, but I wouldn't worry too much about missing it. At least ten of the issues in there are free, fwiw.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Picked up all the all-new (but not so new and mostly cancelled) marvel series.

Any recommendations on new 52 Green Lantern Corps? I liked the title pre new 52, and I've read GL up to the end of Johns run.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I just jumped in an joined Comixology. So far all I have is the New 52 Harley Quinn and The New Suicide Squad.

Next up will probably be Cable and Deadpool.

after that I'm looking at the old Harley Quinn series, more Deadpool, Age of Apocalypse, and eventually filling out this entire checklist....

I bought a 10 inch tablet so I can read them on the go.

^ Welcome to the club Sven! Which tablet did you get? Anyone have a tablet where you can store Comixology files on an SD card?

^^ Fuji, I just read the first two issues of GL Corps and liked it enough to buy a few more. I have a feeling I'll end up with everything in this sale. Read my first ever Hitman and liked it as well.

Runaways is a GREAT series. For anyone who hasn't read it, it's well worth it at a buck an issue.

Both of those are tempting but I've already read all those Runaways at work (I work at a book bindery) and for the moment I'm only looking to buy stuff I haven't read yet.

Haven't read the Guardians yet but I'm also waiting to see how Marvel looks after all this Secret Wars crap is over. Just don't see the point in wasting money on something that is about to be rebooted.

This is why most intelligent readers have moved away from buying anything from DC or Marvel. Me? While I must admit that independent stuff is much better, I'll also be a dumb Big Two zombie all my life.

No kidding? I also work at a bindery. I've never actually met anyone else who works at a bindery outside of the work environment. Which one do you work for if you don't mind me asking?

Well, if the story is good, who cares? That said, this is one of the reasons I think Marvel Unlimited is the absolute best deal in comics. For the cost of about 2 single issues a month you have access to a huge chunk of Marvel's back catalog and you can dip in and out of the current stuff as one sees fit. That way you can read what you like and don't have to feel the need to get completely invested in all of the big events/reboots/etc.
