Surprisingly the code makes things 60% off rather than 50% plus 10% (55%). Now... just need the guts to justify $300 in Star Wars comics to my wife.

I'm only getting four Usagi Yojimbo book for $16 total. I'd get more, but I have enough reading to do. I'll get more at the next sale.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I'm too busy at work to detail them, but tons of sales today. If you're interested at all in digital comics, and if you're in this thread I imagine you are, you have to go to Comixology and Dark Horse today. About 8 different sales at Comixology, most ending today; and 60% off everything at Dark Horse with code DHCYBER14, today only.

Your first month is 75 cents if you use the code MARVEL75. That runs through Thursday.

I saw that there was going to be a 30% off code for Marvel Unlimited, but it seems like it's an old code from 2009... the 75c thing is no big deal, don't they frequently have the first month for a buck?

I think they've done $1 months twice before.

I'm sure Trevor will post all the sales soon, but I just wanted to mention that the almost complete run of Savage Dragon is up for sale, 99 cents an issue, plus some collections.

I love this series, but it is hitting issue 200 in the next week or so. So there's a lot of backreading to catch up.

My browser is acting up, so it'll be up to Bob to post full details, but here's some basics that I'll edit in stages.

Dark Horse cybermonday pricing still active, but extra 10% code no longer working.

Dynamite collection sale until 12/4/14, 40 different collections.
I love me some Dynamite, but I hate how they sell on Comixology and Dark Horse, and also had a Humble Bundle or two. I can't keep track of what I own where.
https://www.comixology.com/Dynamite-...Sale/page/4481

DC's weeklong sale is on the World of Batman Eternal. 198 different single!!!
https://www.comixology.com/World-of-...Sale/page/4483

Lots of new bundles at Comixology, looks like mostly Valiant.
https://www.comixology.com/browse-bundle

From Image a Savage Dragon sale until 12/4/14; 8 collections and 193 singles.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The Batman Eternal sale seems to be some of that series, and a hodgepodge of pre and post New 52 books. It's kind of odd.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Yeah, on the plus side they have part of the excellent Stephanie Brown Batgirl pre-52 series, but not the entire run. I'm tempted by Batwoman, though I've heard it's uneven. I'm not even sure what Batman Eternal is, does it feature all these characters or something?

I'm really tempted by the Savage Dragon sale, but I wish they had a bundle just for convenience.

Batman Eternal is a weekly series that started back in April. I think it was April at least. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, it's supposed to go on for exactly one year, so it will be 52 issues total.

It does guest-star a whole lot of other characters. The whole Bat-family has been in it as well as other guest-stars outside the Bat-family. Also, Stephanie Brown made her first New 52 appearance in the series.

Ah, that explains why there were so many issues when I checked that title. But a weekly series, and they only have the first three on sale?

Today only, a sale from Marvel on Wolverine: Origins.
Issues 1-50 and the annual for $.99 per or a bundle for $40.
https://www.comixology.com/Wolverine...Z2VDYXJvdXNlbA

Ending 12/7/14, a half off sale from Slave Labor Graphics, one of my favorite publishers back in the day. Use code SLG at checkout for 50% off everything, most singles are only $.50 after discount.
37 different series are included, most are just 1-6 issues or so.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I'm really debating about Wolverine Origins. I like Wolverine a lot, but from what I remember from the few issues I picked up when it was new, that series was pretty bad.

I was debating it too. The Amazon reviews were pretty weak.

A few days ago, that bundle would have been an instant buy; despite me not being much of a Wolverine fan and even if the reviews were even worse. The collector in me just couldn't resist that price.

But I've been doing some soul searching. Perhaps I should read even 10% of what digital comics I have before buying things I don't love.

Manga sale at Dark Horse this weekend(?); 43 titles including lots of Trigun and Hellsing.
https://digital.darkhorse.com/genre/193/

New sale on a book from Matt Wagner and Simon Bisley! How'd I miss this book the last couple years?
The Tower Chronicles sale from Legendary ends 12/08/14, the four ~75 page volumes for ~$2.99 each and a collection for $9.99.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I don't know how often they do this, but TwoMorrows has a page of free mags to download. Really only one full issue each of their line, the rest are mini 'bonus' issues.

still worth the effort though.
