Lots of sales gleaned from others on my various sites.

I realized that several of them were part of the recent Boom Humble Bundle, and I did read a few of the previous free #1s yesterday.

Dead Letters was interesting, but part of the HB.
Suicide Letters part of HB.
3 Guns was mediocre.
Evil Empire in HB.
Hit in HB.
Polarity in HB.
Protocol: Orphans in HB.
Revelations #1 was really good, I bought the rest.
The Midas Flesh is in the HB.
The Woods is in the HB.
Translucid is in the HB.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Marvel Monday is on the near complete Superior Spider-Man (2013-2014) at $.99 per issue.
issues 1-31 and 6au
the 3 issue Arms of the Octopus crossover event:
All New X-Men Special 1
Indestructible Hulk 1
Superior Spider-Man Team-Up Special 1
https://www.comixology.com/The-Super...content=Marvel

The $29.99 for 34 total issues bundle is the only way to get the two annuals at a discount, but you don't get the Arms of the Octopus crossover issues.
So possibly worth it to buy the bundle even if you already own 5-10 of the issues, to get the annuals.

Thanks Bob! Funeral today is my excuse for stealing your work for the other sites I update.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

No Problemo. If it helps other people find these deals, share it all you want.

One other thing I noticed last night. It's not an advertised sale, so I have no idea if it's just the regular price for those issues, but #1's for most of the New 52 DC comics are 99 cents.

...Well, at least any of the series that launched pre 2014.

fujishig 11-04-14 05:19 PM

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Yeah, I think they dropped all of the initial #1s for the new 52 to .99 a while back, to get people to try them.

Trevor 11-04-14 05:34 PM

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Yeah, they've had that deal for months; you'd think doing it for the 0 issues too might get people hooked.

I know you're mainly joking, but since I'm feeling verbose:

When I decided my newest OCD here would be updating the digital comics thread daily, I sought out a few other comic forums to see if they got better/more info than we do here. Once I compile the data and cut and paste it here, it just seemed polite to cut and paste it on the other sites too.

But in terms of spending time on the forums, it's like 2 minutes a day there and a few hours here.

So I'm not cheating, I'm using other forums to help us here. ;)

Imagine my surprise when this guy called Trevor showed up on another forum I frequent posting comic book deals; it took me a few weeks to figure that one out - I didn't think Trevor existed outside DVD Talk.
