I checked the DC and Marvel apps today and found newly free items in both.

The Summer Reading Freebie for today is 7th Sword #1 from IDW.

I expanded my freebie search and looked up words like preview. Hundreds of free books found, including around a dozen new-to-me freebies.

I also stumbled upon a bunch of DC 99 cent runs. These may all be old news, and I know I've seen some of them in the past, but fwiw the following series have some $.99 books:

Swamp Thing - 1972 series has B&W versions of 14-24
Flash - the 1987 series, most of the first 50 or so issues
Batman Adventures - all 25 issues
Adventure Comics - the Aquaman stories from the 430 range all collected into sets, so it's partial issues bundled into ~21 page sets
Batman: something something - issue #1 of this Kevin Smith penned miniseries is priced lower, wish Comixology did this with every series

Today's Summer Reading Freebie is Starlight #1 from Image.

No new sales, bundles, or other freebies found.

Two new properties now on Comixology are the Planet of the Apes books from Boom! and The Spirit weeklies from DC for $.99 each. Only 25 of those classic eight page gems so far. I'm also interested in the PotA books, but I'm sure they'll have a sale on them soon.

Today's Summer Reading Freebie is a week late for the anniversary, but wow, a $20 book, Normandy: A Graphic History of D-Day from Zenith Publishing.

Yesterday or so, another FCBD book was added, Scratch9.

Ending 6/15 from Boom, a big sale on Mark Waid's 'I' Trilogy:
singles of Irredeemable #1-37 and artist's edition of #1
singles of Incorruptible #1-30
singles of Insufferable #1-8
single of the new Insufferable 2: On the Road #1
also 21 different collections of the above, including some onmibi
also a bundle of 65 singles (missing artist's #1 and the newest vol 2 #1) for $59.99

I'm not bored enough (yet) to do the math, but it looks like it may be possible to pick and choose omnibi and singles and beat the bundle price.

Ending 6/15 as well, from Marvel, we get a big Fantastic Four by Lee/Kirby sale:
issues #1-50
annuals #1-3
bundled for $49.99 (three issues were free in the past, so buying singles separately can save some ~$.50 off the bundle price, but give you that annoying "buy" option on a bundle you otherwise completely own #ocdminutiae)

Well Hopefully you still have some money. The Waid/Straczynski sale set me back a bundle.

I do, thanks; and yes, those sales are hurting my wallet too.

I guess the Summer Reading Freebies ended yesterday. Overall is was a great selection and nice to get 20 more books in my cloud.

No new sales, freebies, or bundles found on Comixology; but a Manga Sale has started at Dark Horse.

Happy Father's Day everyone.

Two new sales at Comixology.

From Avatar, a Warren Ellis Heroic Bundle, 21 books for $24.99.
Black Summer 0-7
No Hero 0-7
Supergod 1-5
I've never read any of these, any comments?

More tempting, and lasting thru 6/19, is an Ultimate X-men Sale. Most intriguing is a bundle of all 143 issues for $99.99.

I feel kinda dumb for being too lazy and/or forgetful to get all the deals, but since I'm not really a digital reader yet, I have tons of unread issues on Comixology. Someday I'll regret not getting these. :)

Mad Love for 99 cents is a steal. I think it's 66 pages long, and it's incredible.

I thought I purchased a bunch of comics from that Harbinger sale, but it never went through. Today I bought the Transformers classics collection and found out why... after authorizing the payment with paypal, you have to complete the order on their site too after the redirect.

Ugh. When are they going to just integrate with amazon?

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

^^^ You're very welcome fellow villager!
^^ Bought, along with a few of the number ones to sample this Harley character.
^ I think I'm looking forward to that day too.

Nothing new on Comixology today, but a huge Savage Sword of Conan bundle at Dark Horse. Over 8,000 pages, the entire run of the old Marvel magazine, for just $89.99.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Two new freebies and three new sales. A week long one from DC on Geoff Johns Superman: 30 different Action and 4 Superman from the ~2008 era.

From IDW, ending 6/30, another big Transformers sale: ten collections, issues 1-29 and annual of Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye, issues 1-29 and annual of Transformers: Robots in Disguise, the two Dark Cybertron bookends, and a 62 issue bundle for $49.99. Note that two of these #1s are first time freebies.

From Boom!, lasting until 6/26, is a Phillip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep? sale: 8 collections for $2.99 to $4.99 each or all bundled for $29.99, which saves ~$7.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I have most of the Johns Superman stuff or I would have bitten.

I did bite on Transformers, though, even though I had a couple of collections already.
