Comic Book sale close to me - what should I pick up?
Just picked up 3-10 of Y: yesterday and I'm going to pick up Ex Machina today. What other series do you all recommend?
I've just started reading comics again about 6 months ago, so far my favourites are:
Watchmen
Y: the Last Man
Sandman
Swamp Thing
From Hell
Maus
As you can see, I've been working my way through the "highly acclaimed" stuff, but I figured there's a ton of great stuff that's more obscure.
TIA

I like Walking Dead alot as well. This year I finally got around to really hitting Vertigo hard, I read the entire Sandman run and am up to date on Fables now to. Both of those series are amazing, and I highly recommend both of those as well.

In addition to Walking Dead and Fables:
Preacher
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
V for Vendetta
Top 10
Rex Mundi
Stuck Rubber Baby
Age of Bronze
Alien Legion
Animal Man
Jonah Hex
Some things I don't personally care for but are in a similar vein:
Transmetropolitan
100 Bullets
Also, if you like goofy Silver Age books, I highly recommend Alan Moore's run on Supreme, which is his very Alan-Moorish take on Silver Age Superman (as well as his 1963, which is his take on Silver Age Marvel, but which is not available in trade paperbacks).
That ought to keep you busy.

You fuckers are seriously cutting into my music budget.
Seriously though, thanks again for the recommendations.

Hellblazer
American Flagg
Cerebus (at least the first half, starts getting be a bit too much later.)
Castle Waiting (If you like Fables)
Vogelein
Strangers in Paradise
Box Office Poison
I could go on and on. Going to have to pull out my tpbs and do some reading. Its been awhile since I have had a visit to these great titles.
