Two years later, the company EXPLODED and many of my back issues were worth dozens of dollars apiece, some well over $100. In the summer of 1993, at the height of the speculator boom, I sold the entire collection for over $400 and spent 2 amazing weeks on vacation in Chicago. Was totally worth it =) Especially considering how the company, quality-wise, completely fell to pieces after Shooter was shoved out.
That wasn't the ground floor... you needed the licensed Nintendo comics...

I really, really wish I got rid of all my Harbinger issues before the market imploded. I even had extra copies because I sent in the little coupons in them to get Harbinger #0...

Note to self: if you play in another round that allows wikipedia and it provides no help with knowing how to answer a question, just leave the damn thing blank instead of putting an answer and taking the penalty.

Atlantis Attacks? Wasn't that just one of those Marvel crossovers that only happened in Annuals (like Evolutionary War)? Do those count?

They count -- it was an "annual event." Nobody went with any of the annual events, though.

Dammit! I totally forgot about this. I had my answers ready and everything (just hadn't formatted them yet). Oh well, guess I'll just play along with the home version.

For about 2 seconds I thought about asking people to name one of the characters who debuted in DC's or Marvel's 1993 annuals (the DC ones were the Bloodlines Annuals and the Marvel ones were so pathetic they didn't even have a name for the annuals as a collective group). But I immediately rejected that question since it's way too obscure and all the characters except Hitman suck.

Question 15: Name one of the original Image creators (founders)

From left to right, we've got Jim Lee's nametag, Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, Jim Valentino, Marc Silvestri, Rob Liefeld, and Whilce Portacio. Which one did you name?

Question 15

Todd McFarlane (18): JasonF, Meatwad's Ghost, dadaluholla, reverie, Trevor, Rockmjd23, Nick Danger, dvdhook, Captain Marvel, brianluvdvd, The Bus, Palaver, maxfisher, RKilgore, Mordred, Prepper, Lokimok, burnside986

Jim Lee (4): MHepburn20, fujishig, MBoyd, Bandit03

Rob Liefeld (3): ivelostr2, fumanstan, Hokeyboy

No answer (0): davidh777

No love for Larsen, Valentino, Silvestri, or Portacio.

Palaver gets a 1-point Google penalty. Maxfisher gets a 2 point Google penalty for using his second Google.

Shit, for some reason I didn't think of McFarlane at all.

In what fucking universe is Bone less famous than Cerebus? Ugh. That was my first answer then I figured no one would remember it.

Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

I was a little worried on the Image one people may have gone for Liefeld or Larsen.

BTW, I hope you know I meant "Civil War" in my answers. Don't penalize me for not reading mainstream comic books in the past 16 years.

Question 16: Name a comic (past or present) published under the Vertigo imprint

One of these is a very good answer and one is a very bad answer. Which is which?
