Stuff worth spending your $ on in the March Previews
Not trying to step on B2K's toes, but I've got the day off & I'm going through the new Previews catalogue. So here is part 1 of the stuff I think is the most worth you spending your hard earned $s on.
Dwight T. Albatross's The Goon Noir
Don't know how anyone could not be reading the most unique & innovative comic on the stands. As if the Goon wasn't awesome enough, this is a collection of the the issues that had not only the top talent in comics doing their renditions of The Goon, but also guys like Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Thomas Lennon (yes, Lt. Dangle from Reno 911) & more.

Batman: Ego & The Other Tales HC
Yes, I'm gay for Darwyn Cooke. And you should be to. This HC collects his very underrated Batman: Ego, Catwoman: Selina's Big Score, which was AMAZING & has 1 of the single greatest splah pages (of Slam Bradley) every drawn IMO as well as his stories from Batman Gotham Knights & Solo #1 & 5, of which I said Solo #5 was one of the greatest single comics I've ever read.
Stormwatch: PHD: #7
I'm not going to list every single awesome single comic that comes out. But I just read the first 4 issues of this series & HOLY SHIT was it awesome & as per usual with amazing kick-ass comics with brilliant writing. This series needs support. Christos Gage is going to be the next Brubaker. This guy can write & this issue kicks off the "Assault on Precinct 18" story-arc.
Crossing Mignight Vol 1: Cut Here TP
Like the Exterminators, this is a Vertigo book that deserves the prais & attention that books like Fables & Y keep getting. It's an asian fantasy/horror series unlike anything else being published. And I hope you all know, when I recommend a trade of a new series, it is in the hopes that you will be hooked & then need to buy the monthlies
Batman Statue Dark Crusader
I know there are a ton of posts here about people complaining how they can't even afford monthly comics so they must switch to trades. But F that for me, I make good money & I love spending my $ on a damn good statue & this sucker based on the classic Alex Ross cover is geekily glorious. 12" tall & 12" wide, I've already got a spot picked out.

Madame Mirage #1
Paul Dini is one of those names that instantly has me interested in anything he is involved with. Even enough so, to get me to pick up a Top Cow comic, something I would never normally do.

That's just part 1, I'll be back with part 2.

Wasn't quite sure where else to put this.
I was just going through my order history at DCBS to see how many outstanding pre-orders I had when I noticed I ordered the LOEG: Black Dossier hardcover on July 1st.
Are we any closer to a true release date???

I am a sucker for statues that have capes doing cool shit, so that Batman stat looks neat-o to me. No way in hell I'm buying it (I only stick to statues based on DCAU cartoons), but it is cool.

I am just restarting my comic collecting habit. I placed my first order with DCBS last week. Thanks to everyone here for letting me know about them. I received an initial acknowledgement type email. Can anyone tell me how you get notified that the order is a go? Is there a second or third email in the normal process? Also, do you get an email from them when they ship?

If you placed an order for April-shipping books in February, they'll charge your card for that order around the middle of March.

Looks like this will be one of the smallest months I've had in recent memory. That's a good thing as I'm working on a project (yes, a comic related project) that is likely going to cost me some of my reading money.
Anyway, for what it's worth, here's what I'm ordering...
Catwoman #67
Another Hughes cover, another purchase. It's still a pretty good book, too.
Gotham Central Vol. 5: Dear Robin
Still one of the best series of the last few years. I cant' remember if I liked this arc as much as I did the others, but I'm excited to re-read it.
Friday the 13th #6
I doubt I'll get this, but I really like the cover. Cute girl, ugly villain, good uses of darkness. Do I like it enough to spend $2.50 or whatever? Maybe.

Re-Gifters
I'm not a teenage girl, so I'm not the book's target audience. But for whatever reason, I love these books aimed at younger audiences. I'm willing to spend a $5 to see what I think.
Silverfish
Sure seems like I'm wishy washy today, but I'm not sure about this one either. Love Lapham, and the previews look pretty interesting. But for $25, it's a little steep for a completely blind buy. I'll get it if I can find a copy for half off.
Witchblade #108
Oooh, ooh, look at me, another book I might buy just for the cover.

Save Tales #2
Ummm, yeah, I'm a broken record over here.

The Damned Volume 1: Three Days Dead
I don't know anything about this book other than the fact that it looks damn cool. I need to read some reviews of the series, but this is most likely going to be on my shelves soon.
Oddly Normal: Family Reunion
Maybe the only book I'm definitely getting this month. Otis Frampton is a great guy, and this book looks to be a nice sequel to his first Oddly book. It's nice to find an all ages book to enjoy from time to time.
DC Comics Covergirls HC
I love covers. I love girls. I'm getting this.
Mighty Avengers #3
Cho again. Giddiup.
