So...let's talk about a company that seems to be doing more right than wrong...
Does anyone know who's the artist responsible for that fantastic centerfold titled "So begins the end..." that is in most of the current DC books? It features a Planet Of the Apes-ish Statue Of Liberty with Wonder Woman cradling a weeping Superman.
It looks very Perez-Jimenez-Van Sciver-ish. I'm thinking it's one of them.

Yeah, Superman's legs are in an odd position... but I agree about Jiminez. Even in his Perez knock-off days, I thought his art was great.
Actually, with the way all of them are posed, it reminds me of those old scratch and place comic book scenes that used to be popular when I was young... where you'd have this background, and you could place these pre-posed sticker-like things anywhere on the background. Especially with the way Hal and Donna are standing.

(Sorry -- I couldn't find a decently-sized DC-based one).

Ironic, because I always thought Hitch started off as an Alan Davis clone... and both grew to become great artists in their own right (though I thought Hitch had been around a bit longer due to Marvel UK). Another great artist who started off as a "clone" was Travis Charest... he started off as a poor man's Jim Lee.
