Uhm, so what's wrong with it? I ordered #2 by accident but I haven't read it yet.

One thing that ordering 3 months in advance shows you more than week-by-week is how late some books can get. I still have 3 books from last month that haven't been released yet.

What about Red Sonja? Haven't they solicited through issue 4 or 5 and #1 hasn't shipped yet. Gotta love that.

Say, how does DCBS handle multiple covers? Do you get to pick which one you get?

Nope.

About the only thing that would've helped All-Star #2 for me would of been my getting the Miller cover over the Lee one.

That stinks. I wonder if they accept phone calls or emails when it comes to making sure you get the correct cover.

If you ever find out, please let me know. I was reading the book and I just couldn't understand what Miller was going for. Nothing in the book really rings true and the only character that makes sense is Alfred. Such a wonky read.

Marvel Team-Up continues to kick major ass though. I love that I get all the mainline Marvel I need out of New Avengers, Astonishing X-Men, Marvel Team-Up, and Captain America(I don't count Young Avengers or Runaways as mainline marvel, but they're awesome reads too). Between his appearance in Waids FF and his current cameo's in New Avengers and Team-Up, I can safely say I am finally a fan of Dr. Strange.

I just noticed nearly half of this months haven't shipped too. Either that's going to be one huge shipment next week or the list of late books is going to grow big time.

One of the complaints about this series so far is that Batman is acting like an ass, right? To me, Batman isn't a happy guy. Someone in his position should have a few screws loose.

JasonF is just re-using one of the many classic lines from this comic, as follows. These crack me up and they're not meant to....

Batman with a screw loose? Yes.
Awful dialogue? His "stalking" Robin? Calling him retarded? No.

I did laugh when I read the "Nuts? You want to see nuts, kid? I'll show you nuts." when reading it. Just because of the underlying homoerotic stigma that have plagued Batman & Robin since the 70's show.

THANK YOU!!

Asshole/Paranoid/Hardass Batman = Batman at his Best. That's what made Dark Knight Returns so kickass. But i guess people wnat the happy 60's Batman with the big smile.

I just placed my first DCBS order and I think I already messed up. I clicked Bags/Boards for each comic, but I assumed it would update for me so I would get the appropriate number. Instead, after I clicked confirm, I realized the total was still set to one. Does that mean I'm only getting one bag/board?

Nah, you didn't mess up.

Bags and boards per book for September books (with CDS ProBags and New Boards)
The charge amount will be adjusted.

I think I did, actually. I finalized the sale and it still only read 50 cents (I go the mylar route).

I read the first 15 pages or so of Identity Crisis last night and man oh man, this is one great story. I can't wait to read the rest.

I've never adjusted the total after adding bags to my order. Wait a few days and check out your order under "Your account". All of my orders were auto-adjusted to the correct total.

Even if you did mess up, they're very fast at fixing things when you email them. I've even added a book or two to a month-old order with no problems.

Now if they only took requests for multiple covers...

Yay! I just found out that Marvel is doing a hardcover reprinting Kirby's Eternals series in preparation for a new Eternals series written by Neil Gaiman! I'm double happy!

Double happy? Now that's happy.

Anyone else struggling with finding room for their graphic novels, trades, or monthlies? I've been selling off comics lately, so my short boxes are doing fine for now, but I'm officially out of shelf space for my graphic novels.

While I was trying to arrange them yesterday to make room, I've realized that my reasoning for buying trades has never come to pass. I told myself that I could read the stories a lot easier in trade format because my monthlies are stored in bags in a box, but the trades are right there on the shelf to be taken down at any time. Now, however, I find myself buying more and more each week, and I never have time to actually re-read the ones I already own. And now I'm out of room. Argh!

You sound exactly like me... I'm running out of shelf space like never before, though it has taught me to try to pare down my buying and TRY to focus on the ones I really like. And I do reread my trades, mostly because I can barely remember what happened in the last trade by the time the next one comes out. I hardly ever go dig through my boxes to reread my non GN comics, though... I always think someday I'm going to go back through all my JSA issues again and read it all in one sitting, but it's so much of a hassle, whereas if I had just the trades it'd be much easier. So in that respect, I like the trades better.

It's much, much worse if you're into manga.
