Just used the SFBC to get Crisis on Inifinite Earths. Mostly collect TPBs like that, and I lean towards the Star Wars ones at that.

I don't anymore, but read them alot when I was a teen. I'm over 40 now and my wife recently purchased off Ebay a bunch of old WW2 comics from the GI Combat series dealing with a tank that had a ghost from the civil war as its guardian angel. He would give the tank commander, who was the only one who could see or hear him, a cryptic warning before each mission. It was called The Haunted Tank and was published back in the sixties. That and Sgt Rock were my favorites.

i am 29 and still read comics albeit in trade form mostly now. it's just cheaper and easier storage wise. i pick up lots of marvel and dc but am starting to get into things like powers and 100 bullets as well.

I've read comics since I was about 13 (I'm 25 now), and I haven't really read them on a regular basis in about three years. It has nothing to do with age, though...but I spend to much money on DVDs to afford 'em, that's all. I'm sure I'll get back into them at some point, because---as many people pointed out---they should be enjoyed regardless of age.

I still read them, but not anywhere in the neighborhood of what I used to. I hardly pick up books now because of the expense. If I do, it's usually one off book.
I still attend conventions but only if something interests me.
I'm 36.

You think the best way to get into comics would be to pick up trade paper backs?
I never really got into comics since I wasn't really one of the types to run to bookstores / comic book shops and hang out kinda guys.
I'd like to get into some of the older superheros (Batman , Spiderman, etc ) but even the old school stuff seems to have gotten pretty confusing with all the spinoffs and team changes, etc.

1) Yes--and I also do my comics shopping at Midtown Comics. I have a folder and everything 'cause I'm too lazy to actually stop in every week. Cool, friendly place.

3) A whole bunch, but off the top of my head:
Queen and Country
Gotham Central
Fables
100 Bullets
Mystique
Blue Monday
Lucifer
Y: The Last Man
Catwoman
Ex Machina
Astonishing X-Men
She-Hulk
The Pulse
