I've never read Spider-Man/Superman, but I have heard of it.

I'd have to 2nd the Spider-Man/Wolverine crossover...

Another good one was Hearts of Darkness, a crossover 1-shot with Wolverine/Punisher/Ghost Rider.

I'd love to see "Hearts of Darkness", those are three of my favorite characters. Which Ghost Rider was it? I don't care too much for the "modern" version.

I personally liked the Wolverine/Hulk match up.

Hearts of Darkness came out in the early 90s, so I believe its the Danny Ketchum Ghost Rider (I'm not sure I spelled his name right. Its not Blaze tho). It features some great art by John Romita Jr. too

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Superman/Batman yet. DC is even going to release an ongoing late this year/early next by Joeb and McGuinness which will just feature Superman/Batman team-ups.

Their "relationship" in Dark Knight Returns (haven't read the second one yet, waiting for #3 to come out first) is what made it awesome, I mean they fought, that was exhilirating.

Too bad I really do not like McGuinness' art, otherwise I would pick it up.

I haven't read comics in a looong time, but I still remember the massive "Secret Wars" thing Marvel did-- tons-o-crossover.

I had the Superman/Ali comic book and I thought it was pretty cool.

SPOILERS FROM SUPERMAN/ALI COMIC BOOK BELOW

If I remember correctly, the Earth was taken over by aliens and Earth was given a chance to survive if they defeated the Galaxy boxing champion, if they lost Earth would be destroyed. The galaxy chamption was a massive monster that looked unbeatable. Superman and Ali disagreed who should represent Earth in the fight. Superman and Ali agreed to hold a prefight between themselves to determine who should fight. Superman set up a boxing ring with a piece of krypton that would make Superman have normal human powers. The fight was close until Ali got the upper hand and beat Superman into a bloody pulp. Superman refused to fall and only after repeated punches by Ali did Superman hit the canvas. Ali was then taken to outerspace to fight the Galaxy boxing champ. The fight was broadcast back to Earth and to other planets. The fight began and Ali was being battered from the start and things looked grim. Ali was too weak and slow to hurt the galaxy champion. Just at the fights worst, the leader of the aliens interfered and told Ali that he would spare the humans if they became slaves. Ali got pissed and started yelling and screaming that earth was not going to be enslaved. He worked himself into such a frenzy that he turned the tide of the fight and knocked the chamption out and Earth was saved.

I can't believe I remembered that whole stroy. See what you started, Its all your fault!

I can't say Superman/Ali is way up there on my list but it was Neal Adams.

One of my favorites was X-Men/Teen Titans. It is surprisingly good for a Marvel/DC crossover story. While many of the company crossovers have been "B" efforts, this one was top notch. Chris Claremont, Walt Simonson & Terry Austin when each was in his prime.

A lot of the artwork in the early crossovers was good but the stories seemed watered down by company politics.

The JLA/Avengers crossover that George Perez was working on in eighties looked like it could have been great. Years ago I was able to see a bunch of the artwork that he finished and it looked really good. The project was resurrected again last year and George is working on it again but I liked both the JLA & the Avengers much more in the eighties than I do now. Still could be promising.

More recently, the Batman/Daredevil crossover wasn't too bad. The Scott McDaniel art was nice to look at. Also, Byrne's Batman/Captain America wasn't bad.

I almost forgot the Superman/Hulk crossover drawn by Steve Rude. Roger Stern's story wasn't half bad and anything that Rude touches is gold.

I think I liked almost every crossover the X-men had with the rest of the Marvel Universe in the late '80s, those years were excellent. (I think there were so many I can hardly remember them because it has been so long since I've completely read them again)

I really loved the Infinity Gauntlet from Marvel back in the early 90's. Infinity War and Infinity Crusade were pretty good as well and it looks like there will be another installment this summer!!
I can't remember what it's called though. I think Diamond did an article on it a while back, or was it CSN???

How about X-Men/Star Trek, there was even a novel (or two?) written for Pocket Books.
