What are you reading? (April 2014)
The King in Yellow, by Robert Chambers. Creepy horror from 1895, when everyone else was writing Victorian ghost stories.

I hope you don't mind me chiming in. I read HHGTG a few years ago, and that's even after watching and erasing from memory that horrible movie adaptation. I loved it tremendously. I found it so imaginative and laugh-out-lound funny. It felt fresh and not dated at all.

Just finished:

Lost meets Lovecraft set in an LA apartment building pretty well sums it up. I'm a sucker for Lovecraftian stories so I enjoyed it. The writing seemed a bit padded for the first half but picked up towards the end. Very fast reading with a satisfying conclusion (which is more than can be said for Lost).
