Anybody have suggestions for other books with similar feel as The Road or NC4OM?

I read this earlier in the year. Thought it was decent.

I haven't read any other books but Diaz, but I did enjoy this one. It's witty and feels real... and Diaz has a way with words without trying to come off as too clever. There's a language barrier in a few spots (at least for me), but it didn't interfere with his meaning.

Finished: It's a short story, about 75 pages I think, between book 3 and book 4 which I started after this short story.

Winchester's Atlantic is really interesting so far. It's not in depth, but covers enough ground to give you some idea of what to read if you're interested in learning more.

I don't read non-fiction all that much, but try to read all of Winchester's books. I haven't read this one yet though -- look forward to.
