Wait, so you started at almost the end of the series? Yes, I know it's first chronologically, but that's just wrong--I remember it being so cool when I read these in the original order and got to that back and found out where a lot of things that I'd been reading about came from. When people read in this cockamamie order, where does A Horse and His Boy fall?

A Horse and His Boy is book 3. I'm just over half-way through it. The Magician's Nephew was good. I would like to see it made into a movie. The Lion, Witch & Wardrobe was good too. I liked the movie just a little bit better. As for A Horse and His Boy I'm reading, it's OK. The kids are in it, but it's not about them.

Just finished True Grit by Charles Portis. Will try to either continue Game of Thrones or start Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Re: What are you reading? (October 2010)

I had some unexpected free time this week and read Michael Swanwick's "The Iron Dragon's Daughter" and am now re-reading (from donkeys' years ago) Robert Silverberg's "Hawksbill Station".
