When I was growing up, I *Loved* fantasy series with great maps, they allowed me to help visualize where things were happening in relation to other things.

I loved the maps in the Lord of the Rings growing up.

Some Novels that had great/really detailed maps:

David Edding's series
Robert Jordan WoT series
Raymond Feist Kondor series
George RR Martin Fire and Ice series

What are other good fantasy series that have great/detailed maps, I think this really makes the whole experience great.

Steven Erikson's Malazan Empire series have very good maps, some of the city maps are quite detailed.

The Hyborian Age for REHs Conan stories.

It goes without saying that the one I love the best is The Hobit Illustrated Edition.

I loved this book as a kid, basically a compilation of various maps that appeared in fantasy series

I really liked the ones they released in the UK for the Discworld series.

Very cool I just added this to my wish list.

The Fantasyland drawing in my old Disneyland map is pretty cool.
