Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine artwork

Hey all, how are ya. I may be late to the party (issue 3 comes out in a couple'a weeks), but I just picked up the first 2 issues of "Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine", and boy, does the artwork look cool! Just the kind of carnage that should occur when these two brutes get together for a scrap....

I saw this, and I had to buy it, even though I haven't read comics for several years (but I am very aware of who/what the Ultimate Marvel Universe is, so I wasn't lost at all). As Stan says....'Nuff said!

Just curious...if your art link actually happens in the comic book, how the hell does Wolverine fight The Hulk?

And the artwork does look cool...

Oh yeah, it happened in the first issue! Cool moment! I don't think that question will be answered until issue 3, though...

As for Wolverine, he does have a healing factor, LOL. And the spread shown in the link takes place on pages 2 and 3 of the 1st ish.

I picked up both issues when they came out, mostly because Damon Lindelof was writing it. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Leinil Francis Yu's artwork is amazing. This series has to have one of the coolest splash pages EVER, as mentioned above - it's worth the cover price alone.

So the Hulk actually does rip Wolverine in half like that? His healing factor can actually heal that massive of an injury (reforming both halves into one person)? I remember way back when Magneto ripped all the admantium out of him. That was enough to send his healing factor into overload, and that is like a scratch compared to being ripped completely in half.

Just had a chance to sit down and read it, and DAMN I'm glad I picked this up. It's a lot of fun, with excellent dialogue to boot. I'm in for the 6 issue run...

Hey, that was "regular" wolvie... this is ULTIMATE wolverine, so of course he has an ULTIMATE healing factor... or something. Ah, I'll wait for the trade.

You think that's bad? Wolvie then says he can smell his legs four miles up and drags his torso up a mountainside by his claws! Healing factor or not, he'd be dead! Have to admit, it looks cool though...

Cool book, but so late. Might as well be the Ultimates.

If it's as good as The Ultimates, I'll be checking in every Wednesday 'til it comes in.
