Batman to fight Al-Qaeda in Graphic Novel

Read here

I was sketchy until I saw it was being done by Frank Miller and what he was trying to accomplish. Looks interesting to say the least.

It's not for me to guess whether this thread should be here in Book Talk or the Politics Forum, but it has already been posted and discussed in the latter.

I think it's apprpriate for both forums. The political forum to discuss the political aspects, and the book forum to discuss the potential it has to suck more than All-Star Batman & Robin.

So All-Star Batman & Robin sucks? I was afraid of that. Which is why I've been holding out on it.

Is the Port of Gotham one of the six included in the Dubai deal? If so, I can see Batman exposing this whole deal while he's over there.

He'd better be careful. The last time he went to the Middle East, didn't Robin end up dead?

VERY timid about the premise. Might be decent coming from Miller, but ... it's just too far fetched for my taste.

I don't like the sounds of it. If it's something Miller really wants to do, make it a fictional terrorist group or something. I hope he at least makes it subtle because there's nothing worse then being preached to.

So does that mean "David E. Kelley's Batman" is out of the question?
