I've recently finished a book called Amongst The Marines by Steven Preece. It wasn't the usual battlefield glory stuff . It was a personal story about one british marines life amongst the ranks. It fluctuated from extreme violence to absolute disgust, to humerously laughter and yet at times it was quite sad. There's a follow up book called Always a Marine - coming out in a few weeks time. Yippee.

Its definately something different and not your usual story. I thought.
