I just stumbled into this: there is, in fact, a reasonably priced second edition of the Napoleon book coming! List price is $69.99 and can be ordered from Taschen here or pre-order from Amazon for $44.09 here. I'm probably not going to rush out and buy one, but I'll certainly keep it in mind as I've long been fascinated by Napoleon and I'd love to see Kubrick's assessment of the guy.

Forgot to post until now, but just recently Taschen has released a Bibliotheca Universalis (Compact cultural companions celebrating the eclectic TASCHEN universe at an unbeatable, democratic price!) version of the Archives book
I already have the mammoth edition but picked this up just to be able to easily pick up and read
a flat out steal at under $20
