Wow, forgot about this thread. Never got the stickers btw.

But rant I'm really excited about. Seems more like fight club and survior then haunted, which imo was just okay.

aicn had a piece about it:
although I wish I didn't read it, since it seems like it gave away too much information.

Thanks for the heads up, I love his writing, so in terms of other authors with similar style, is Irvine Welsh the only one you guys can recommend?

Rant certainly sounds interesting. I can't believe how much I hated Haunted though. Probably the worst book I ever made myself finish. After that I'm not sure I can go back to Chuck.

I used to love Chuck but I feel like his quality of work has gone down since Choke. I've gone to 3 of his book signings though and he's a great, entertaining, funny guy. My girlfriend at the time couldn't be there so I got her on the phone and he spoke to her, he answered the phone saying 'You're going to die in seven days!'

Started reading RANT and I'm not quite thrilled yet, but I'll give it time. Palahniuk's a genius IMO.

Just finished Rant. It's fantastic. Actually I think it's his best work since Invisible Monsters.

Every time I read his new books i'm disappointed - took a chance on Rant thanks to a business trip - and while it reeks of Chuck's typical style, I'm enjoying this one quite a bit. I'm only about 1/2 way through and will finish it. But I haven't devoured one of his books since the trifecta of Survivor, fight club, invisible monsters.

Supposedly his next book is completed & is called "Snuff". It's about a woman trying to have the biggest gangbang ever on film.
