I'm currently reading Anne Rice's "The Feast of all Saints". So far so good, but i have a lot to read. There was made for TV movie about it that came on Showtime a coupel of years back. But missed it. So instead I searched hi and low for the this book.

The book is set in 19th-century New Orleans. The book captures lives of the gens de couleur libre, or the Free People of Color caught between the worlds of white privilege and black oppression.
