The Last Assassin by BarryEisler.

djmont 03-10-07 08:02 AM

I've got all of Eisler's books signed. (Well, inscribed, actually.) Did you like TLA? The new one (<I>Requiem for an Assassin</I>) is coming out in May.

TexasDVDer 03-10-07 12:07 PM

The earliest book I got signed was a paperback edition of "The Hidden Persuaders" by Vance Packard. He was visably unhappy the book wasn't a hardback edition but as I was a student (at the University of Texas) I couldn't afford the hardback. Al Capp (the author of "Li'l Abner") also appeared at the University. I wasn't thinking or I could have had him autograph one of the daily comics.

Yes! I thoroughly enjoyed The Last Assassan, I'm eager to read Requiem for An Assassin but at the same time I don't want it to be over so soon.

<I>Requiem</I> is very good, too, although I liked <I>The Last Assassin</I> more. <I>TLA</I> is either my favorite or perhaps second favorite. Depends on which day you ask me.

I don't think you have to worry, though. We'll be seeing Rain again one of these days.

Horror n Gothic 03-18-07 03:37 PM

I've got a couple but L.A. Confidential by James Ellroy is my pride and joy. He wrote "doom surrounds you aura" in it, very cool.

TexasDVDer 04-02-07 05:19 PM

I’m kind of jealous of some of the books listed, Harper Lee, Michael Crichton and some others. I’ve had some books signed at signings by Bill Crider, Rick Riordan, John J. Nance, J. A. Jance, David Baldacci and others. I’ve also bought some books that were autographed. Even found a Jeffrey Archer autographed book that ended up on our side of the water.

PalmerJoss 04-02-07 05:54 PM

I have Michael Chabon's The Adventures of Kavalier and Klay autographed, and I just got Jodi Picoult's The Tenth Circle autographed last night. I'm also going to a Chuck Palahniuk signing for his new book Rant next month in Boston to get my copy signed.
