Ok, I realize this is hard (that's why I allowed 3):
Watership Down by Richard Adams The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula Le Guin The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar by Roald Dahl to name a few... |
Even with 3, it's still tough, but...
1. The Stand - Stephen King. I must have read the original 3 times and The Director's Cut probably 4-5 times. I would probably read it more, but it's sooo long.
2. It - Stephen King. Another great one. 3. (Tie) The Alienist - Caleb Carr Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card(?) Boy, I could go on and on and on. There are so many books I could go too, but those 4 are definately at the top of the list. -Steve |

Most of you are listing fiction novels. I'm taking a different tack and picking three collections of short stories.
Burning Chrome by William Gibson The Doors of His Face, the Lamps of His Mouth by Roger Zelazny The Short Stories: The First Forty-Nine Stories with a Brief Preface by the Author by Ernest Hemingway I can't believe I had to leave D.H. Lawrence off this list, among others... |
The Brothers Karamazov
Atlas Shrugged Lolita Sometimes a Great Notion The French Lieutenant's Woman Had to do at least these. Many more... I haven't even gotten to the best sci-fi, horror and thrillers. |
