I went to my Vudu page and it looks I do not have the Indiana Jones films in Digital format, so I guess the Blu ray set I bought at Best Buy many years back just included the films (I still have the mini-BB exclusive lithographs that came with the Indy set, I should frame them)? If so, I might bite on getting the Indy set in 4K for 39.99 which incudes Digital copies.

I didn't really go that crazy.

I got the following on 4K:

Mad Max Anthology (4K) - $47.99 - Only bummer is that Beyond Thunderdome has zero extras. Now I'm curious if it's worth it to get the KL Mad Max 4K disc as well?

Jurassic World: 5 movie collection (4K) - $29.99. - I have the first 4 on BD, so this is an upgrade. I'll get Dominion at a later time when it's cheaper. I thought about getting the 6 movie collection that's going to come out with Dominion, but it's essentially the same thing only with Dominion added. $29.99 is a good price for me.

Had to bite on The Godfather at that price (I'm sure it will end up being slightly cheaper on BF). Bought a $50 GC to use as payment and will get the $12.50 credit, so it ends up being a good deal. I already sold my Blu-rays a while back. Will sell the digital too.

Mad Max is tempting, but I think I will hold out to see if some crazy deal comes along on GRUV to mix with their 20% coupon.

Just curious, would any of you buy that Batman 4K film collection 1989-1997 for $49.99? I'm hesitating as IMO only 2 of the 4 movies are actually good.

Why So Blu?

Since I don't care about uniformed boxes/cases, I went ahead and ordered the Star Trek 4K 4-disc set (of the first 4 films) for $39.99 and then I pre-ordered the V 4K disc ($19.99) and VI ($24.99) 4K disc. With tax this is a total of $94.78. If I were to have ordered the 1-6 set it would have been $138, so I saved almost $50 doing it this way.

Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx's movie Collateral is only $11.99

I have the old DVD and never upgraded. I think this price works for me. I'm a big Michael Mann fan. Now I just need the new Heat 4K to drop below $20.

Isn't the 4K not all that? I remember reading a couple of reviews calling out the PQ. I know the mostly dark scenes and Mann's digital work had a LOT of grain and noise overall. Seems to happen when Mann uses digital, starting with Miami Vice.

And yes, I may [ick this up as well. It's rarely on sale.

It's, IMO, the best Collateral has ever looked, having owned it on DVD, Blu-ray, and now 4K.
The master is what it is, but I think the disc looks great.
