I really wish that some of the streaming services like HBO GO would start streaming in 4k. I'd much rather watch it like that than on crappy DirecTV 1080i.

I'm surprised none of these sales (black friday, amazon 3-fer) have Blade Runner 4K available. It's the only title I'm looking to buy right now and the prices for it are stupid.

For $7.88, who cares? Besides, blu-ray.com gives it a decent review, and this set includes the standard blu. And the UHD does have an Atmos track which makes it a even better perk. Seems like a good buy all around.

Not sure where to put this, but for those looking for the Stranger Things S1 Bluray at Target, there appears to be another surprise release of a 4k is similar style package (white border instead of black) with the 4K+BD combo pack.
Someone at bluray found it in store mistakenly on the shelf today fo ??29.99, but the system appears to be have it scheduled for official release either 11/28 or 12/5. If your store tends to break street date by accident it might be worth checking or planning.

Some will have new transfers but most benefit from much better compression and the wider color gamut. HDR is a benefit in SOME cases if done correctly. Personally I wish they could have just added wide color and h.265 to the regular BD spec instead of a new format.

Gawd, I hope not...somebody might argue with me that a 30 year old film that didn't even place in the top 100 box office for that year should look crystal clear perfect and that "insert blu-ray maker here" did a crappy job...and that I'm just dead wrong (despite me reviewing movies for 10+ years) if I think it looked like a good picture. Sorry, I'm not bitter at all...

Amazon has Despicable Me for $9.99 on 4k. I think Amazon accidentally marked it as such since it is not part of Best Buy's $9.99's. Just figured I would let you folks know.
