I agree, I'm pretty happy without WM. I would have liked Aladdin, but can live with that single miss, while I already had Tomorrowland, Flash, Gotham, etc from before and am very happy with BB, and some earlier in the week purchases from Target. Usually WM has some $10 sales on tv shows on dvd, but I couldn't find any of the ones I wanted like iZombie. Oh well, hopefully another time.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

Well, buying Aladdin from Walmart's site was always a bonus, which allowed me to not worry about ANY Amazon LDs tomorrow. The LD was always my primary means.

I'll get it tomorrow errrrr today. That online experience just let me know that Walmart is less expensive for a number of reasons and you truly get what you pay for.

Same here. Holding off buying anything from Best Buy, Walmart. Last year was better. This year is shit. I think I'm out for BF. Why be frustrated online when it's just like being INLINE at a B&M.

For anyone who was looking to get Arrow: S3 or Flash: S1, Deep Discount has them at $14.XX.

There is also a 15% coupon (CRANBERRY) that you can stack on top of that at checkout. Coupon is good until Noon (CST) 11/27.

Just picked up both shipped for $30.XX.

That's my general experience with the WM site. It's one of the slowest, crappiest sites out there on a normal day. Last year during BF it was pretty worthless, worse than the BB site crashes, and I'd already planned to avoid it this year.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

Awful, terrible, online experience last night, especially since bestbuy.com was such a breeze!!!

I just picked up Aladdin and Tomorrowland at the Brown Deer, Wisconsin store. Both rang up at $9.96 and there were plenty of copies in the regular spot.

Reports on the other forum that San Andreas 3D is ringing up at $9.96. It wasn't on my list so I did not look for it.

It would be nice if the list of $3.96 blu's showed up. I guess I'll be heading out after the Packer game to see what's there. There's also a few $6.96 titles I'm interested in like Snowpiercer. I saw that the Blade and Gremlins/Goonies 3 packs are on the site under the $6.96 deals, hoping for more 3 packs at that price point.

Went to Walmart and was in and out in 10 minutes. Snagged Tomorrowland and Terminator Genisys for $9.96 each. Of course this is hours prior to the official sale start... Beat the hell out of Walmart online chokefest or waiting on an Amazon lightning gamble .

Good move.. I thought about sliding by Walmart, but I had pies in the car lol..

Amazon sold its stock of Terminator Genisys; I might have to make an impromptu trip (don't wanna though lol)

Great to hear!!! Glad some are getting those amazing deals.

I wasn't gonna go out until late but then I decided to l check it out. I hit 2 stores 45 & Silver Spring and Germantown. None of the 3D titles to be found.

I'm in line for the DVD's at Silver Spring now. I was able to get a look at the displays but not touch. Here's what I plan on grabbing if the 25 or so people ahead of me don't first:

$3.96 BD's
The Last Starfighter
Blues Brothers
16 Candles
12 Years A Slave
The Untouchables
South Park Bigger Longer & Uncut
Forrest Gump
Hansel & Gretl Witch Hunters 3D
The Green Mile
True Grit (John Wayne)

$6.96 BD's
Gremlins/Goonies 3 pack
Blade 3 Pack

$9.96
Transformers AOE 3D

Some for me some are gifts. I did not see Snowpiercer or The Breakfast Club for $6.96.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

Went to Walmart.. bought what looked like the last Genisys. They're not playing up in there. All of the black Friday stuff is saran wrapped with big ol signs saying it wont register before 6pm.

And folks are all camped out within the store near the wrapped items they want. Glad I got in and out.

Ran by Wal-Mart this AM and picked up Aladdin, Tomorrowland, and Terminator. Will probably run over late tonight after the initial surge to look at the picked over carcass of the deal boxes just to see if there was anything else worth buying.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

Both the Wal-Mart's near me said they don't carry any 3D titles as they don't sell :-(. Only found a copy of Insurgent 3D for $9.96 though. It has been almost a year since I set foot in there but there's hardly ANY selection of media now - just one row of vaguely arranged titles of which about 60% was DVDs. Two copies of Insurgent 3D still on the shelf as of 3:30pm PST at the Long Beach SoCal store, none of the other titles mentioned above either there or at the Westminster store in OC

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

So I was perfectly happy with my online purchases. Until I saw these unadvertised 3D blu movies, a good time to collectt. So still went to Walmart and see if I can grab some. Unfortunately, I was too late, esp. Since the 3D movies seem to have been dumped at the far corner of the freezer aisle and didn't get there til a little later. Just saw Hansel and Transformers. Had the latter already and didn't think the former is worth the long line. So left empty handed. Maybe next year

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

Just got back from Wal-Mart, four and a half hours after the sale started. I had gone this morning to get what I considered the high value targets. I needn't have bothered. I don't have the ad memorized, but they had copies of everything I could think of. For some reason they put the promo section in the meat department, and I would say that clearly people couldn't find it except that all of titles that you would think would go quickly were also still available on the other side of the store in the movie section.

FWIW, I picked up the 3D Fury Road and a couple of $3.96 titles. I had already gotten Fury Road at Best Buy, but the 3D package is a lot cooler than that lame shot of Max and Furiosa on the regular version. It's worth the extra $2.

Didn't get out to my local Walmarts until just now, and only found three of the 3D sale titles.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

Thanks for the tip on the 3D Blus! I dropped in around 4 AM and got Fury Road, Jurassic Park, Man of Steel, and Amazing Spider-Man 2. They still had a couple copies each of 300: Rise of the Empire, Hobbit: Unexpected Journey, Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, Edge of Tomorrow, and Jupiter Ascending.

Heads up! The 2 titles above are part of a daily deal for $12.95 at Deep Discount! And the 15% code is still good until noon CST.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

I found all the 3D versions I wanted in the regular media section. Most were still in the hard cases which they had to take off at the register. I put stacks in my cart and went to do price checks. Those that hit at sale prices I wanted, I purchased. The rest went back on the shelf.

Re: Walmart Black Friday 2015

I was surprised as I went out to Walmart last night a little before 9 and my store wasn't that bad at all. It was busy but it wasn't nearly as chaotic as it has been in years past. I only wound up getting two things (8-Bit Mario 30th Anniversary Amiibo figurine and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for X-Box One). Might go out again after work tonight or this weekend to see if there's anything left that I may have missed but nothing really jumped out at me.
