Yes it is very annoying to find a title you are looking for only to see that it is only available in DVD. You have to be extra careful to make sure you are buying the correct format. I imagine they will be getting a lot of returns especially from someone who buys a blu ray thinking it is a DVD and returning it because it doesn't play on their DVD player.

Hoping for some coupon overlap time here at midnight, but looks like the sale hasn't started yet. And I really need to get to bed.....

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

As mentioned earlier the 24% coupon does not work on DVD/Blu rays. At least it did not for me.

Thanks for the reuseable 20% off coupon. Purchased 4 titles in four orders. Odd thing, even though I am a member and my default shipping method is free express, the site wanted to charge me for shipping. I changed the shipping method to the fastest and then changed back to free express shipping . The site then removed the shipping charge. My browser is Chrome. I had to do this with each of the four orders.

Seems they're all $19.99 now. Coupon code is working and re-usable.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

I had no issues with prices but I dd have the shipping glitch. But clicking standard then back to expediated solved it.

Looking over some of the more obscure newer releases, can anyone provide some recomendations for blind buys?

I see CC has pumped out a lot of Wim Wenders films. I personally Love "Paris, Texas", but haven't enjoyed any other film by him that I've seen.

For those with Windows 10 Microsoft Edge seems to work better than Chrome on the BN site. I got an error message to try again later when I wanted to view the order status page in Chrome but got to see it without a problem using Microsoft Edge (Microsoft Explorer replacement in Windows 10)

Dang, suddenly the 20% off coupon is no longer working. 15% off is, though.

Manchurian Candidate
Dr Strangelove of course

A Touch of Zen -- beautiful film/
Here Comes Mr Jordan -- Capra classic even for those that hate Wonderful Life
The Player -- if you're an Altman fan
Only Angels have Wings is hard to dislike even if you don't like older film style
Bicycle Thief is an all time classic though I not sure blind buy territoy
In a Lonely Place if you like the style/actors
In Laws a contemp comedy classic

Here Comes Mr. Jordan is a great film but it wasn't directed by Frank Capra. It was directed by Alexander Hall. Other films Mr. Hall directed include My Sister Eileen with Rosalind Russell and Forever Darling with Lucy and Desi. He also directed the sequel to Mr. Jordan, Down To Earth, with Rita Hayworth. Mr. Jordan is probably his best film.

So I ended up not being able to sleep last night. And spent too much money, including a membership renewal. I sit here at work wondering how 24 hours awake is going to feel, and researching voodoo curses on hariseldon.

does anyone know what the coupons for a first time member signing up for a membership are?

I could definitely use a 20% off online coupon if someone can point me in the direction of one. Thanks.

I'll suck a Dick if you pay for everything I want in this sale. Maybe do Anal.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

I got most of the stuff I wanted with the 40% sale + 30% off orders of $150.

I'll probably wait until the end of the sale to utilize the 20% off orders of $75 or more, and that way I can use it on The New World. I don't think coupons work on pre-orderss.

Man...reading the thread over on blu-ray.com is so pathetic.

"Definitely feeling the effects of setting my alarm for 2:00 this morning to get up and make some purchases. Took me forever to get back to sleep. One truly knows they are a movie nerd when a Criterion sale produces a rush of adrenaline."

Online or store codes?

Unless someone wants to give away one of their mailer codes there's nothing for store use until 7/14 it appears.

Hopefully some online 20% Single Item codes will start showing up by tonight. If not the 20/60 code should start on Thursday morning

Online.

I used one of those non-member 15% off coupons and it worked fine even though I am a member. They don't work on pre-orders, though. I used the first one and the third one. FYI

Those codes have been active for a couple months at least and still work (and work again)

Ah, gotcha.

Wow, Barnes & Noble. Your shit website apparently thinks I can't possibly want to look at or add that many items to my cart and it blocked me.

Naturally I was nearly done with adding movies to my cart and now have to redo it.

the worst for that page. I've rarely run into it with Opera. IE and Chrome are somewhere between them

Mine was Safari. Also I wasn't logged in. Surely if you're logged in the tolerances are higher.

Well, considering I have over $1000 worth of movies in my cart, I suppose I should wait a couple days for that 25% off coupon to go into effect.

I'm waiting to try it, too, but I doubt that it will apply to Criterion titles.

Are there any in store 15% or 20% coupons still? Does anyone know if the MY6T23GDEADEC code has multiple uses or does it tie to the user account and just allow one use? Thanks

Wow. So glad I put "Heaven's Gate" on hold at my local B&N store. It was the top of my list pick-up for this sale and it looks like it is out-of-stock online and only available via marketplace sellers. No doubt due to the passing of its director. Michael Cimino. I also grabbed "On the Waterfront," "Fantastic Planet," and "Here Comes Mr. Jordan." I have no self control.

In the past, have people been able to order items online at the sale prices (including coupon codes) that were sold out? If not, the only issue with waiting seems to be that some of the more popular titles will be sold out.
