What did they have Blu-ray-wise? I looked a few times, but I didn't see any BDs, and the DVDs they had were all Billy Blank and fitness stuff. I didn't keep looking, though, so maybe they added something and I missed out.

Oh, I totally forgot about Blu-rays cuz I was on the look out for a sweet TV deal.

That "standard" shipping option with the $3 credit has not been available most of the day. It was taken off last night and came back as $3 sometime around mid afternoon.

Totally placing some cat food orders to get the $3 credit for no rush shipping. The only other thing I ended up getting today was the $45 gift card pack with the $10 bonus.

I really can't believe that Amazon won any brand loyalty with the travesty this Amazon Prime Day turned out to be.
Walmart actually had real Black Friday deals very early in the day. There were some incredible sale prices on high-quality gym equipment, lower than I've ever seen.

Well, the only thing I purchased was the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I wouldn't have even purchased that, but it just so happens that I recently finished The Hobbit movies and had been thinking about upgrading. It wasn't a great deal but was good enough. This thing sure was a bust. I expected much more.

I'm 6 years in, but I'm paying for streaming and free shipping. I was still going to continue to keep my membership whether this sale happened or not
BF sales have been shit for a while. Did we really think this was going to be any better?
Most of the blus that went on sale, I already had. The TVs that were onsale are still too small for me.
Overall there's just a lot of shit I don't really need.

Thanks - earlier on that wasn't an option, and then by midday I got some weird '$5 towards tools' thing...! MP3/video credit is far preferable.

The social media hashtags were funny, everyone just blasting Amazon. I actually dug their Black Friday last year as I didn't have to go out into the stores and search madly for blu-rays as they pretty much price matched everything I wanted. But this was just awful. Here's hoping BF has some decent deals to make up for things.

I was prepared to buy a lot of stuff but the sale really turned out to be a joke. At least in terms of Blu-ray and DVD there weren't many deals and even the ones they put on sale weren't that spectacularly priced for the most part. Disappointing but I guess I saved some money.

I bought one item... not part of the sale. Just a regular item I was gonna buy anyway for a birthday gift. Like many others I was prepared to spend some money but apparently they didn't want it.
Hell even a generic 10% off items in your wishlist (prior to the sale of course) would have had many people pulling the trigger on some stuff.

I think some of it has to do with the limits in their shipping departments. Amazon pricing things too low would lead to a rush of orders they may not fill in an orderly manner. They have to bulk up their warehouses and packing staffs whenever they run 4th Quarter sales. I doubt they added a single worker for this "sale" in the middle of July.

While the internet/social media basically burned this, I am curious to see what kind of traffic and sales this led to for Amazon. Any reports on that?

They said they sold a lot of stuff and signed up a lot of people, and it'll be back.
