Re: Target deals
It's worth mentioning there's an additional 15% off (many, but not all) Target Circle (formerly known as Cartwheel) offer that's combinable with the current B2G1 offer.
It brings the $30 Marvel 4K titles down to $17 each (per tax). |
Re: Target deals
How is it combinable? I thought the 15% off was in-store and the B2G1 was online

The B2G1 is both online and in-store, but the 15% off is only good in-store. |

Target has another B2G1 going on until 10/12. Newer releases like The Shining and Spider-Man: Far From Home on 4K are part of this one.
I now have the entire MCU (except for The Incredible Hulk) on 4K thanks to these sales! |

Not sure why, but The Shining 4k does not show up on Target's website when I search for it. This happened last B2G1 sale with Apocalypse Now 4k where it suddenly dropped off the website during the sale. Now, Apocalypse Now is there, but The Shining is not....

What do you mean? It's there, it's just currently sold out

That's odd. It never came up in searches for "The Shining," "The Shining 4K," "The Shining 4K UHD," or any other iteration.
obviously still work, but it's a big pain to track them down. I have a lot of them saved in wishlist or SAVE FOR LATER since the B2G1 started. Using the wishlist is nice b/c is tell you whether it in stocl/sold out on one page. |
Re: Target deals
Maybe that's why. It was already saved in my favorites.
|
Re: Target deals
Target's search engine "hides" any out-of-stock items. To find an item that is out of stock, use Google's search.
|
Re: Target deals
B2G1 is back.
|
Re: Target deals
That was quick.

Re: Target deals
Curious if they are just trying to move media before Thanksgiving Weekend. Trying to force myself not to buy anything until then.
|
Re: Target deals
As long as you order online you have 90 days anyways in case something goes on sale.
|
Re: Target deals
Works on pre-orders...

Re: Target deals
Didn't really see anything worth getting. Seems their prices are just higher than other places to make up for the B2G1, rather than actually be any kind of real savings deal.

Re: Target deals
The Shining 4K is currently $19.99, if you can pair it with some other good stuff, deals are to be had.

Re: Target deals
A bunch of the older Criterions are $22-24 so around $15-16 each is a quite good price on those. Unfortunately not many of the newer items that I need since those are 29-30 for the most part and
will be cheaper for me at B&N Some of the Warner Archives (Oct, Nov releases) are 18 ea so 12+ with the deal. Unfortunately Target.com doesn't really carry much in the non-current release items. Even a number of the last 90 day items are OOS and tend not to return to Target once the 1st batch in gone. For those that don't won't to wait until March or June for those to come up eligible on the 4/44 or hope for B&N to run their 40%+ sales that;s not a bad price. |
Re: Target deals
I was mostly looking at the video games section; where Target had games almost double the price available elsewhere.
So you could buy three games elsewhere for about $90, or you could buy two at Target for $120 and get the third "free". Basically could buy 4 games elsewhere for the same price of buying the first two at Target. So to me that wasn't a deal. |
Re: Target deals
That's not typically Target's M.O. What games were you looking at?

Doing the math, they have some nice prices, -in a lot of cases, it's just finding the matching third item for me. But, yeah, individually their prices are high for the most part.

Just order a third item that you don't actually want but is the right price, and cancel it immediately.
This is why we can't have nice things. |
Re: Target deals
According to leaked ads, the B2G1 continues next week as well

Re: Target deals
I'm trying to hold off until I see the Black Friday ads. Don't want to spend $15 to $20 for a 4K movie if it ends up under $10 on BF.
