GoT Season 3 Exclusive finally dropped to $29.99 on target.com, so I ordered one with my Red Card. Now I can do fun stuff like shovel my driveway this morning, rather than heading out to a store.

Ad should have stated Game of Thrones Exclusive, NOT found at Target.
I walked in 5 minutes after opening, and there were no exclusives to be found. Talked with a manager who said they should be on the shelf if they had any. I checked the Target app/website for the item and looked for "Find In Store", which showed no stores within 20 miles had it in stock.
I ended up ordering from the website. Hope I receive the exclusive.
I'm going to keep checking Target all week.

Weird, I'm showing no availability at stores either when searching online. I'm going to swing by during lunch to check for sure before ordering online though.

No problems here.
I walked in to my Target at a little after 9AM and they had several copies of the exclusive, as well as the regular edition.

My store had a dozen REGULAR copies on the shelf, all spider strapped (some up front by the registers, some with the new releases). I asked about the exclusive, so the employee went through 2 boxes behind the counter, and there were none. Then he went to the warehouse, and he said he looked through all 3 remaining boxes before he finally found some. This actually worked to my advantage! No spider straps!
They are the same DPCI, so searching online for store inventory won't be helpful.

I did the same thing! I knew I'd be snow blowing past 8 this morning, so I ordered just after midnight, once it became "in-stock", even though it still had the higher price. After I scored it this morning, I called to cancel, but it was too late, however they did give me a price adjustment. I have a buddy who said he'll take the extra once it arrives, so it's all good...

I just checked too, site claims it's not available anywhere with 15 or so miles of where I live. I may *gasp* call the store and ask. If they don't have it, well, I can live without the 90 extra minutes.

My store at 8 this morning had LOTS of copies of the Exclusive BR versions (annoyingly spider-wrapped in the media section, but not on the copies by the checkout lanes for some reason). Grabbed a copy, though I'm still vacillating between the Target bonus disc and a Best Buy Stark sigil slipcover.
Too bad the bonus disc is in a thin case and shrinkwrapped to the package rather than included in the main package though.

Target has been known to mess those up before. Just the other week, I placed an order for the Turbo exclusive with the little car attached to it, and it ended up being the regular blu ray. Same thing for the guy a couple months ago that posted the deal here for the Pacific Rim LE blu ray and ended up getting the regular copy. So yeah, if you really want a copy, try to find one in store. If you don't really care either way, roll the dice and order online.

Decided to head back to the morning Target and try again, since I drive past it on my way home.
All shelves were bare, even the regular release.
I asked a rep in the movie section to check the back, and they found 27 copies, about 5-6 were the exclusive.

I had to work all day/evening Tuesday and was worried about missing out on the Target exclusive. I mentioned my quandary to my wife, and she later texted me a picture of it with "I'm an enabler".

Plenty of Target exclusive versions at my Target, scattered both in the front and in the electronics section along with normal versions.

All blu-rays sold out at one Target. Decided to venture into the destruction that is Wal-Mart. One blu-ray left marked 39 in the electronics section. Asked if it was on sale, and the associate responded with the typical 'dunno'. Walked out and drove to another Target where if found ~5 exclusive BRs and a ton of the others. Was looking to pick up some of the latter seasons of True Blood, but they didn't have much....

Re: Target Ad 2/16-2/22/2014
I picked up the Target & WM exclusives, but had strange experiences with both.
For Target I went to the local Ralphs (Kroeger) to buy a gc first. The sales manager checking me out screwed up the first one, then got another and swore it went through. I went to Target at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, grabbed the last Exclusive (not spiderwrapped), and when I got to the checkout they told me the gc was no good (two different checkers). I asked if they could hold it, they said sure and I went back to the grocery store to straighten things out. That took awhile and they finally decided all their Target gc's were no good and gave me cash back from my cc purchase. At Target the cashier was gone, his line closed and it took awhile to get an employee to retrieve my held Blu, but it eventually happened.
The first Wal-mart wasn't carrying GoT. At all. It's a smaller store, but a regular store, not a grocery only store. Drove to the second and immediately saw a display in front with the Blu for $34.96. They had some non-exclusives, but still 10 or more exclusives left. I went to the self-checkout and there was only one other person there, chatting with a WM employee. But the self-checkout immediately started flashing red. So I had to wait for the employee to stop chatting, which took awhile. But she finally came over and guessed that it was to make sure I was 18. But on looking at she instead said it was something about a 2-year warranty or lease? She cleared it, and I was surprised by the $39.96 price (I hadn't paid any attention to the the prices beforehand, as I've been really busy). I mentioned it, but said I must have been wrong, paid and started to leave. As I passed the display, sure enough the Blu's were on the left, under a $34.96 while the DVD's were on the right, under a $39.96. As I looked at it, the cashier immediately came over and then it was like a WM commercial. She looked at it, said we need to get you a refund, yelled over to customer service, where there was literally only one person being helped, and I went right over and quickly got a $5 and change refund. This was WM, when the heck do you ever see only one person at cust. service and a helpful employee like that?
