Did anyone try the TRU deal with the Planes preorder + Groupon?

Yes, many people on the other forum have done it successfully. They only carry the combo pack at TRU though.

Had no problem with it.

22.99 + 1 for planes preorder - 10 from preorder - 3 from coupon.

10.99 + tax for the standard bluray without digital copy or 3D.

Thanks for the heads up. It worked just fine. $1.72 for the Planes deposit+tax+item filler + $7.50 for the $15 groupon. $9.22 for a new Pixar release ain't too bad

I got the $10 Groupon a couple of days ago without knowing what I was going to buy but decided to get Monsters U when I saw this deal. It ended up only costing me $1 at the store plus the $5 I paid for the groupon. Thought I should have been charged some sales tax but I'll take it.

TRU does not carry the 3D version, correct? They didn't the last time, so I didn't even bother going there... Plus, I missed the Groupon deal while on vacation...

Nope. Only the DVD and Blu + DVD versions.

I know this is a really late response, but I was able to get the Blu+DVD+DC for $19.96. At the self-checkout, it rang up at $29.96, but I showed the ad to the clerk, she compared my copy to the one shown in the ad, and price overrode it to $19.96.

If you don't mind waiting a bit longer, Target will have the 2D version for $10 on Black Friday.
