They should be $9.99; they are showing up as $9.99 each on Best Buy's website. When you go back, take the blu-rays to one of the employees and have them scan the price before you try to buy them.

Note, however, that the Iron Man 2 that is $9.99 is the single disc edition. The 3-disc edition is $19.99.

Actually picked up a few things today.

The trip was made successful by Vanessa. After finding only the first Batman on the shelf I asked for help with the others as my particular store is doing a huge re-model/rearranging of their store and much of the already limited stock is in the back. I was brushed off by the first CSR. He was apparently a car stereo expert only and sent me over to the tv section. The 2nd CSR was already helping someone and it appeared to be a lifetime arrangement. A 3rd CSR wandered over with some free food sample type of thing that she seemed more interested in. The 4th CSR that waddled over was definitely more interested in it because he started eating it and distracting the 3rd CSR from helping me. She was eventually nice enough but said there were no more copies of what I wanted. But then she went in the back to look. Which I appreciated but didn't really understand. Anyway, she came back empty handed and I reserved myself to not getting Batman 2 or 3. As I'm back in the movie section browsing the titles(all without ANY shelf tags), Vanessa walks up and asks if there's anything she could help me with. She seemed to actually work in the movie section and lo-and-behold, she went in the back and found the two blu's I wanted. She was very nice, very helpful and very apologetic for the clusterfluck that the store was in.

Of course, that high note lasted only as long as it took to go up to customer service and to the U & S. Think of Ross and you'll get the picture.

All in all, I was happy though. Anyone know if it's worth the trouble to write a positive review of an employee to Best Buy? Does that employee benefit in any way?

It's been a while since I stopped in at oiur local Best Buy (I skipped the last upgrade and save) and the movie selection there is pathetic! It's about half as big as it used to be and about 1/3 of the shelves were empty! I barely managed to find five movies that I wanted and I don't think I will be going back during this sale unless something really grabs me next week.

That location does have just about the best remaining media selection in Northern Virginia for Best Buy. They carry a much deeper selection there than some other locations.

Has anyone had luck using an U&S coupon without the trade-in receipt? I was accidentally given my U&S coupon back and thought I'd give it a try to use it again, do they usually ask to see the receipt?

You need the receipt. They always use it to check off the coupon you use.

Well, I know I've used one without the receipt before but I was curious if anyone else has tried this. The last time I literally just lost the receipt and they never questioned it.

I have NEVER had to show the receipt...didn't know you had to until reading about it here.

They were doing the phone upgrade coupon last week. If I remember correctly, it has only been available during the first week of the U&S promotion.

As for needing the receipt to use the coupon, YMMV. I have been able use them without the receipt.

I have never needed the receipt to use a coupon. Hell, half the time they don't even bother giving me a receipt.

They had Breakfast at Tiffany's there a couple of months ago, but it was gone for U&S. Might get Footloose and Airplane, but neither of those are necessary for upgrades for me. Trying to be a bit more selective on what I get. (Though I usually regret it)

Quick question--how much is Eyes Wide Shut ringing up for in store? On the website it is priced at $8.99 thus making it ineligible for upgrade and save. Is it ringing up at a higher price in store?

The first time I did U&S, they just handed me coupons without a receipt and I used those, no problem.

The last few times, however, they only hand me one coupon stapled to a receipt and write the number of DVDs I traded in on the coupon. I then turn that in to the cashier, who keeps both after the transaction. This last time I didn't even get a real coupon, just a photocopy.

The first time I ever did it they gave me coupons. The last 3 times they let me shop with my bag of trade-ins in hand and then after I pick my movies I take it to CS and they tally everything up there so I never actually get anything. Just the discount.
