Yes, there are. When I bought mine during the last U&S it scanned higher, and I showed the clerk the shelf tag. He pointed out it was the wrong one, then found some with the other SKU. No idea why they have 2 different SKU's. They look identical, but the UPC is different.

Went ahead and picked up: Hotel Transylvania 3D, 7 Psychopaths, Mean Girls, and School of Rock, all for $40 using some RZ coupons. Lightest haul yet for this U&S round, but there wasn't much this time around that hasn't been offered before. Looked for the Die Hard set just to see if it would ring up for $19.99, but there weren't any at the location I went to.

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2

Well, wasn't planning on using this, but recently found a DVD that didn't work. I had bought it at a flea market and think it wasn't real, though it had an UPC and was a normal DVD-not burned. But, took it anyway, figured if they didn't want it, no problem. Well, I walk in and before I even got to the CS desk, they waved me away and told me to bring what I wanted to upgrade to. Ok...as I walked around (I was there for something else than BRs, too), I was told this twice more. Ok, got the point.

Walked around the movies. While I don't mind the mixture of DVDs and BRs, when you're looking for just the one, it's a bit messy. Looked for a few that I had in mind, of course, none were in stock. Ended up with a Disney that wasn't too expensive and I'd have bought it eventually anyway.

Get up to the counter, they didn't even look at the DVD, just gave me the discount. So, in the end it worked fine.

Was there actual coupons that people were given? I would have liked to not have carried my DVD around the store, to be honest, since I was carrying other stuff, too.

Yeah, there are coupons. You're better off the way you did it though. Otherwise, you would have had to wait in line twice. Once to turn in your dvds and get the coupons, and then again to purchase the blu-rays.

Also, my BB had a ton of Batman Begins steelbooks, but they all rang up $19.99 and the $9.99 online entry shows as not available in my store. Are there multiple steelbook versions of Batman Begins?

Left with ($4.99 each):
Scrooged (finally after constantly forgetting about it)
Fantastic Four Double Feature
I don't think it was an error. It seems like their system got majorly screwed up today. I bought Rocky: The Undisputed Collection today which is on sale for $22.99 until tomorrow, but it rang up $44.99. I'm fairly certain everything was ringing up correctly yesterday, but whatever they did today killed nearly all of their sale prices.

Same here. Half the titles I bought today were on sale until tomorrow, but rang up at full price. Rep had to go back and check the shelves and then do an overide. Then the U&S woudn't work since they adjusted prices, so she had to go back and manually adjust the prices again. That wa after waiting in the customer service line for 20 minutes. No such thing as a quick trip to Best Buy anymore.

Express Lane is a different program from In-Store Pickup.

This entire episode took close to 40 minutes.
That's a shame. The guy who was running the desk when I was there was really good. Took about 5 minutes total, and that included him having to answer a phone call. He asked for my e-mail address, and was able to place the order to my bestbuy.com account, so he already had my credit card on file, and just had to ask me for the 3 digit security code on the back. The order shows up in my bestbuy.com order history.

Yup, I've never seen an actual sign for it. You just have to ask someone where it is, though it's usually near the Customer Service, Geek Squad, In-Store Pickup.

Yup, this is definitely true. As I mentioned in my story, they did it as a manual adjustment to the price. The coupon terms say in-store, in-stock items only, so it's definitely YMMV, but certainly doesn't hurt to try.

Picked up

The Dark Knight Returns

The Dark Knight Returns Part II

Thanks to Deftones to mentioning the manufacturer coupon along with using the U&S coupons for this deal. In addition, I received a special $5 RZ bonus coupon that was mailed to me in late January.

Grand total after coupons and tax= $18.96

BTW, YMMV on this, but I traded in a Jean Claude Van Damme 3-movie DVD collection (which had 3 discs in it) I told the cashier there are 3 separate movies in there and if I can get $15 worth of U&S coupons for it and she said sure. If I tried to trade this in at Amazon, I would have gotten about $1.15 total for all 3 movies.

I also picked up:

Heat: $4.99

The Perfect Storm: $4.99

House of Wax/Return to House on Haunted Hill/Ghost Ship triple feature: $9.99

Officially done with this for now. Heading on vacation in a few weeks overseas, so not going to make anymore unnecessary trips to Best Buy.

I was thinking this was going to be another smooth U&S sale...oh was I wrong!

After spending 25mins looking for the goddamn titles which are just fucking everywhere now, mixed with DVDs, on various endcaps, mixed in different genres...

THIS!

Restrepo was $24.99 and the super-intelligent clerk was going to apply my U&S Coupon...making it $19.99!

I asked him, "Ok, so why would would I buy this fucking Blu-ray at $19.99 with this coupon, when you already have it online for $9.99.

And then after, I get a scolding from the same rep that I would be "Double Dipping"! Even after I quoted him the FUCKING RULES:

"Bring your used DVD to the Customer Service area at a Best Buy store and receive a $5 coupon toward a Blu-ray movie priced $9.99 or more." Doesn't say anything about a sale price or regular price to apply this coupon on Best Buy's website:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Movies-P...at278100050003

I just said print the coupons and I'll go elsewhere, thank-you.

Just about 1hr wasted.

I may go back tomorrow and just plan on spending the entire fucking day there until I get my price.

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2

Tried to buy Downton Abbey Season 3. Could not find it on shelf and no one would help me. Decided to do in store pick up. They found it and it was waiting for me. At first they said I could use $5 coupon. Then they told me I couldn't because I had already bought it. I said fine I am returning it. They said the system wouldn't let them do a return because I had just bought it. They filled out some sort of delayed return sheet and they said they would do the return tomorrow, I got a copy of this sheet. They wouldn't let me buy the one I returned or tell me where the other copies were. System said they had seven copies. I wanted to buy another movie but as I read here, it rang up at the regular price. At this point I was so frustrated, I took my used DVDs and left the store.

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2

Since I still had 5 U&S coupons left, I made what was supposed to be a quick stop at Best Buy. Of course, that didn't turn out to be. I was so excited that I already had coupons and didn't have to wait in that awful Geek Squad customer service line, but as others have said, the store computers were totally fucked today.

I looked around a long time. I couldn't find some titles I wanted, so I was sort of agonizing over what to get. I finally decide on 5 movies, take them up to pay, and immediately notice something isn't right. Beasts of the Southern Wild was ringing up as $29.99, even though it was on sale for $15.99, but I still wait to see the total. When that comes up, I notice the price and point it out to the cashier. She tells me I have to take her over and show her the price. I do, and we go back to adjust the price. I start looking at the rest of the prices and see that The Guns of the Navarone was ringing up as $14.99 rather than $9.99. Once again, I have to take her over to show her. She adjusts the prices, scans the coupons, I pay, but I still thought something was wrong. I tell her I want to check the receipt, and she says she understands since their computers have been all screwed up. By now, the line is getting long. I see the Upgrade and Save listed 5 times and go on my way.

When I leave the store, I decide to look at the receipt longer and realize the two adjusted titles didn't get marked down with the U&S. That means I have to go to that Geek Squad line after all! Fuck! At least 30 minutes later, I found get to the front and spend another few minutes watching them trying to fix it. I got my money. Everything worked out, but I must say that every single transaction I made this sale take way longer than it should have. The store should really reconsider its customer service procedures. It's terrible.

So, here was my haul:

The Guns of Navarone - $4.99
Beasts of the Southern Wild - $10.99
I Spit on Your Grave (remake and original double feature) - $9.99
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - $4.99
The Woman in Black - $4.99

I don't see myself venturing out again. The coupons I had said they expired Feb. 1. I found that odd, but I know the sale usually ends on a Saturday.

I did this a couple times awhile ago, last year or the year prior, but I would rather give the DVDs to family members so they can enjoy them.

Worth more than $5 to me doing it that way.

Last pickups:

$4.99 Walk the Line/Crazy Heart two-pack
$3.99 Mr Popper's Penguins blu/dvd/digital combo (my $5 off here was from RZ points, hence taking $5 off $8.99 sale price)

Kicking myself for not getting the Sherlock Steelbooks for 4.99 while they were still on sale and in stock.

Overall during this round of U&S I picked up...

Romeo + Juliet
North by Northwest
Ocean's Triple Feature for 4.99
I Saw the Devil
Restrepo

Not much else looked like that great of a deal.
