My store did away with the 7.99 bin. I was looking for it today for the off chance it was in there and only saw a 4.99 dvd bin.
Was going to ask someone at CS about it but there was only one guy working in returns with about 4 ppl in front of me and a couple ppl behind me. He was actually moving from register to register trying to help ppl out.
It's showing up as 9.99 online so I was hoping to get it for 4.99. May try a different store before the week is out as there are a couple of other titles I have been looking for to no avail.

They keep scanning my coupon and giving it back to me without crossing off the receipt, so today's haul:
* E.T. Beast Buy Exclusive - $10 after U&S and $5 RZ coupon they mailed out. (Nice!)
* Demolition Man
* Gattaca
Saw a bunch of those double/triple play titles for $10 and $15 (before coupon) but I've already got one or two of each and/or don't like the third, etc. That's the downside of having over 550 BDs - eventually you're running of of things to buy. o_O

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2
I was very happy with my trip to Best Buy today. As I looked for Blus that I might want, I came across the Criterion version of "Brazil" stickered at $27.99. I noticed all the other Criterions were marked at $29.99 and on top of that, this was a two-disc set. I'd bet it was a tagging mistake, but all three copies had the same price.
When I hit the register, the disc did ring up at $34.99, but I pointed out the sticker and the cashier manually reduced the price. The problem turned out to be that this manual override did not allow for the U&S coupon to work on it. My receipt showed that the coupon scanned, but the price did not reduce.
I made a trip over to customer service where there was no line, and they re-rang the transaction with no fuss whatsoever. The CS clerks were super cheery and helpful today, surprisingly enough.
So for a total of $44.89 (after tax), I walked out the door with "Brazil" (Criterion), "American Beauty," "Sin City," "Children of Men" and "Shallow Hal" (which was on sale for $3.99). These all happened true to the name of the game - all upgrades to titles in my DVD collection.

Picked up the Die Hard 25th Anniversary set for $24.99+ tax with my last U&S coupon. Regular sticker price is $39.99. It's Unadvertised at $29.99 on sale and the website says they don't carry it in stores.

Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere else - details or reviews seem impossible to dig up through searches - but did Fox put individual discs in these double features like the Warner sets? Did they include special features (none are listed on the back)?

Picked up a Game of Thrones pre-order with a .01 sticker. The manager refused to give it to me for .01, but I ended up getting a $20 GC from corporate. I read the back of the pre-order and BBY is finally requiring you to return the pre-order bonuses to get the deposit back. I guess it won't matter to most people unless they start doing the pre-order with steelbooks again (they quit because Steelbook sued Viva over copyright infringement).

Grabbed a couple including Beasts of the Southern Wild for under $6 and the two Dark Knight returns movies.
Those averaged out under $8 after two trade and saves and RZ certs.
Also got the $5 off with the on pack Manu coupon. Unfortunately the pt 1 was selling for $22.
Also finally doubled a set that I already had. First time in years a did that.

Besides the one poster above, did anyone else see Office Space/Napeloeon Dynamite; Something About Mary/Dodgeball?
It says not available for in store pickup online so I ordered them hoping to do a return and re buy, but in case they're not delivered in time I want to make sure I get the deal.

I got them both a couple hours ago, but may have gotten the last copies. Didn't see many.

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2
It's *very* possible I'm mistaken, but I also have a vague memory of seeing a posted picture of the X-Files Double Feature where both movies were on one disc. (I think it was a few months back, perhaps on the AVS Forum or the Blu-ray.com forum.)
If you give the case a light shake against your ear, the 2-disc cases tend to rattle a bit more. I was doing that in the store when I bought Predator... probably looked pretty silly on the security camera.
=======================
Edit - I think I was indeed mistaken. This thread says the X-Files double feature was 2-disc.

I've seen this a few times at Target. I remember the price being really good too, but I already own both.

so far all of the "own the moments" releases i've bought (daredevil/f4/elektra, chuck norris, jcvd 3 packs) have all been individual film discs. the companies notorious for double packing (or quadruple packing in some cases) onto one disc are mill creek, echo bridge, and phase 4, mostly using properties from miramax, sony, and touchstone that we'd not otherwise get on blu-ray.

Jeez, the one Best Buy I went to had very little of what I wanted. They were still restocking stuff and there were two large gaps in the DVD/BD section.
Picked up The Man Who Knew Too Much and used a bunch of RZ certificates to lower the price. With the price being $24.99 (before coupon), this is almost on par with the Barnes and Noble price plus you get to use RZ certificates (if you have them) to bump the price down and you don't have to deal with the coupon restrictions like you have at BN.

Went into the Hampshire mall in Hadley,MA. Stopped at the $1.09 store and picked up a few DVDs for $1.09 each. Then went into the Best Buy in the same mall and found the 2 disc Blu-Ray of THE LOVELY BONES. Just pulled one of the $1.09 DVDs out of the bag and did an Upgrade and save.
I often do this to see if it's a "floater." I could give a shit what people think, especially BB employees.

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2
I still have 2 U&S coupons I need to use up by Friday (as I don't plan to make a special trip on the precious weekend). I'm struggling to find 2 more >= $9.99 BD titles I consider worthwhile. There are tons of multi-packs in the store, but I usually have 1 out of 2 or 2 out of 3 titles. I'm making one more trip before the end of the week, and I sure hope I can come up with something. That's why I like to read these threads and see what other people are buying (and at what prices). Often I get my ideas of what to buy from other people's posts.
Like another poster here, I always wonder if the multi-packs include the same discs as the individual releases, but so far I have never heard they don't. At worst they drop any additional bonus discs, but thankfully most studios don't repress cheapened (i.e. sans extras) discs for multi-packs. It would be so great if there were an official BD multi-pack thread where people list any exceptions to this rule so we can avoid those multi-packs.
One other thing... people were talking about Dredd 3D BD being $14.99 AC. So I checked all of my stores and not a single one had it in stock! This was a recent release, right? So I had to express lane that one, and $14.99 is a lot for a blind buy, but enough people spoke positively of it. Ironically I had express laned Demolition Man with U&S because no stores had it, so of course yesterday I saw a stack of them at the store. Oh how I hate the low inventories during these sales. And I still can't find The Lovely Bones 2 disc BD anywhere. I'm thinking I'm going to return my 1 disc BD I got in the mail, and that'll leave me with 3 coupons to use. I have tons more DT DVDs I could trade in, but no point when I can't even use the coupons I have.

If this is such a huge deal to you, why don't you get the ball rolling and start the thread yourself? You could add in the information you know from your multi-packs and other people could chime in with their information.

I couldn't find The Duellists anywhere. In hindsight, I wish I had preordered online and hoped it arrived in time for a return/repurchase in store with U&S.
I did notice the digibook version of The Town was on sale for $19.99, so I grabbed it with U&S.
I'm probably done until next time.

This morning I stopped by the store closest to my house and picked up:
Deep Impact ($4.99)
Julie and Julia ($4.99)
You Only Live Twice ($9.99)
The good -- I was really happy to find a copy of Deep Impact. Their website said it was unavailable at all of the stores in my area but I got what appeared to be the last copy at this location. I love me some disaster movies.
The bad -- I wanted to pick up Downton Abbey season 3 but apparently this was the only store in the area to not get a single copy of the blu-ray OR the dvd. I was kind of pissed because it is a new release featured in the ad and now I have to make a trip to a different store. I will say that there was a very friendly employee that searched all the racks, looked in the back, and checked the computer but no dice.
I don't recall anyone posting this yet but I might have missed it -- The Alien Anthology is on sale right now for $23.99, so it would only be $18.99 after the U&S coupon. I'd be all over that if I didn't already own it.

Re: Upgrade and Save coming back! 1/13 - 2/2
For those who are having trouble finding certain blu-rays in stock, did you try to order them through express lane? It's worth a shot...
I asked about express lane two weeks ago at my local best buy (was looking for United 93), and was led by the cs rep at the customer service counter and introduced to a coworker who was responsible for it. I explained what I was trying to accomplish (use an U&S coupon on a blu ray not carried in the store), he said he hadn't done that before (ordered a blu ray via express lane), but would be willing to take a look into it.
He said he could order it, but their system has no way of scanning a coupon to discount the price. He would have to manually override the price, then he asked which version I wanted (he mentioned the version for 12.99 that is part of Universal's 100th Anniversary...which has an 8 digit sku = not carried in store.) I said that was fine, he took my coupon, manually adjusted the price to $7.99 shipped to my home, I paid with my debit card and he gave me a printout of the transaction.
The funny part was when I looked at the receipt again upon arrival at my home, and noticed it was going to be shipped to the employees home address! I had to call Best Buy customer service to fix it, and it arrived in the mail this past week.
My next attempts using express lane will be for French Kiss, Dave, Father of the Bride, and They Live.
