Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

Do we know if this has the corrected discs, or do you still have to send for them?

This deal appears to be available to everyone now. I'm not Prime and I can access it. In fact, every "Prime only" deal I've seen applied to items already in my cart over the past year usually starts out at the sale price for everyone, goes "Prime only" for a short time, then reverts. Kinda suggests the "Prime only" deals haven't really done the trick in upselling the service . . .

Dammit. I saw the email earlier this morning but didn't realize it was limited. Thought it was just part of a deal of the day sale.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

With the new Divergent movie coming out, I realized that I didn't own the second movie. I was about to pay $4.99 for the Vudu version when I saw that the Blu-ray + Digital dropped to $7 today

Mockingjay Part 1 is also the same price

Thanks, Trevor. Not sure if I'll use the photo lab app, but I had $3 in digital credit stored up. Gladly turned it into $5 to use on something a little more tangible.

And hopefully I can get $1 of that digital credit back when I place an order.

For both of those I'm waiting for the inevitable box set myself.

I thought that was only Gold Box or Lightning deals. I swear I've ordered Deal of the Day items that were listed as "Temporarily Out of Stock" and they just fulfill the item at a later time. Unless the Superman set was part of a Gold Box or Lightning deal and I misread it. Ah well I'm not desperate to own it, just $25 is about the price I'd be willing to pay for it.

That's changed. Now if you don't get in on time, the price is goes back to normal. You can still order it, but not at the Deal of the (First Few Hours) of the Day price.

Between that, and the new $49 minimum for free shipping threshold, I'm really bummed that I asked for Amazon gift cards in the past. I now don't know when I will ever use them.

I can't remember a recent deal where is hasn't been as I described. I suspect it just takes some offers longer to "sell out".

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I believe Amazon decides how many of an item they want to sell at the Deal of the Day price. This could be due to the arrangement Amazon has with the manufacturer. Once that number is reached they discontinue the sale price. I don't think it is limited to stock on hand. I think I have seen items that were still in stock but no longer on sale even though it wasn't the end of the day.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I'm quite sure that's exactly how it has worked for some time now. Problem is, you never know the quantity and if it will take an hour to sell out or most of the day. It would be cool if they had some kind of running tally, similar to lightning deals, but I don't think it will ever happen.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Will wait for a good price on the Hunger Games bluray box set or for the individual movies to sell for $6 or less just like the Twilight movies did on Black Friday. Granted Hunger Games didn't flop with a bad ending for the series as well as the relationship between its leading actors like Twilight did, but $5 or $6 might not be out of the realm of possibility for each of the individual Hunger Games movies maybe a year or two from now.

That is the most apt comparison I've seen yet of the new Amazon.
