Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

I hope this is a small increase. We'll see............

On average, First Class Package Services is going up 12.8%. Quite a sizeable amount. Priority Mail is going up 9.8% average. Also pretty hefty.

First Class Package International is going up 21.6%. That's insane, considering it practically doubled a couple years back.

Have definitely had that happen to me, as well as having stuff in my hands at a store to check out. Luckily I have my collection in dvdprofiler, and have it on my phone. I have a good general idea of what I have in my collection, but every once in a while I can't remember if I do indeed have a title. Usually I cant remember which seasons of tv shows I have. DVDProfiler allows me to check, and even pull up an image of the front and back covers.

This may finish me off. It will completely kill what's left of my non USA business. Interesting that they don't seem to mention media mail, though it went up considerably this year.

Thanks for the link.

Put this old dog to sleep.

People may go out of their way to use UPS and FedEx more. I hope.

USPS service is getting worse as well. My packages are getting tossed, sat on, and squeezed into my mailbox way more than ever.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I am seeing a lot more damage on media shipped by the USPS. I rarely receive a Blu-ray case that hasn't been harmed in some way in normal packaging.

UPS and FedEx raise their rates annually too, as well as add fuel surcharges, so they're staying lockstep ahead of USPS rates.

I think Creepshow 2 has been that price for a while but the first one has always been a bit more. I should pick them up.

I'm not really familiar with the Shout Factory stuff. I want to pick up that Army of Darkness release, but it's currently $18. Does their stuff go on sale for lower than that often?

Spielberg's 1941 is currently $7.95. Supposedly just a few cents above its all-time low. A family favorite.

Their titles tend to be $20 or more normally (there are exceptions but not usually for the more popular titles like this). Sometimes they'll drop a bit but I'd expect it to stay around the same price for a while or if it drops it probably won't be below $15.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

A lot of the smaller labels like Shout, Olive, Kino, Twilight Time, Code Red, etc tend to be a bit more pricey. Probably partially because they have to pay to license films out from the studios in most cases.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Shout's combos are even more pricey than the others. If Amazon has a pre-order of something from Shout, Kino or Olive at @$15 or less, jump on it.
If you can wait DDD has these on sale several times a year at same time as coupon, comes to $10-12.

That's a spectacular price for Army of Darkness. Bear in mind that it's a boxed set with three Blu-ray discs, several different cuts of the movie (including a new 4K-sourced transfer of the international cut), and a surreal number of extras.

^Yeah. I don't see this set going down to Shout's Mad Max prices anytime soon. I bit at $18 for this and I usually wait until 15 bucks or less on most Shout titles.

Yeah, I just ordered AOD at that price. Thanks for the heads up as I didn't know it had so much.

Usually not the "Collector's Edition" titles. Snag one before the price goes up.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

For those interested in (modest) discounts on Shout/Scream titles -- or at least getting a few discs at the $15 sweet spot -- they're currently in week three of their annual Shocktober sale. They put up six new titles each week:
http://www.screamshocktober.com/sso/..._3_6DXLNQ.html

. . . and keep a few others available here, as low as $9.99:
http://www.screamshocktober.com/sso/...olddeals2.html

They offer free shipping on orders of two or more discs from either links above. And hey, free magnets!

A recent email blast teased an upcoming special on Army Of Darkness, as I recall, but I'm skeptical that they'll match Amazon's price this early in the game. Definitely worth keeping an eye on, though.
