Wait, so these sets are just the EE's on blu without all the bonus discs?

Holy chit, why didn't I hear about this before? I just picked up the big box set because I couldn't find any info about the EE's being released separately. Egads!

They are the exact same 2 blu-ray discs for each movie from the Extended Edition. Same artwork printed on them, same content on the discs. These are gone from the local Target, but I suspect they will restock these. Regular price looked to be $13.00 on these.

Yeah and if you look on the packaging it says they are only exclusive until January. So, I'd imagine after that date, everyone will have them.

I was really glad these came out because it gives me a reason to keep around the awesome dvd releases.

Picked these up from my target the other day. I'm a little miffed I missed the deal for $10/each, but $39 (minus the movie cash) for all three wasn't too bad. I'm going to put these BDs into the much cooler looking cases I have from the DVD set with the statues!

Yeah, I saw them for 13 apeice at Target yesterday. They were in the diplays by the registers in front.

Finally found them at another Target in my area on a register endcap for $13. That was still more than an acceptable price for me, so I picked them up.

I think they're also $10 each at Best Buy; in steel books iirc, but definetly with the $5 Hobbit MovieCash.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Target has the 2-Disc Extended Edition BDs exclusively until 1/14/13.
