Glad to see I'm not the only nut waiting for 3 am (EST) for the Bond deal to open up :) I know the lightning deals can sell out lightning fast ... do the all-day Gold Box deals ever sell out? (Just curious for the future)

They used to sell out. They haven't recently.

Yes. Sometimes they get replaced with another item. Other times they just say sold out.

I don't see a hidden placeholder for any movies in the upcoming Lightning Deals section. :(

Shoot. I don't wanna do an all nighter for this. I'm in pacific time zone and I usually sleep in and miss stuff in the morning. I wish they'd give a time for it.

Crazy insomniacs unite!

I happened to have $100 in GCs from my birthday and I held off using them just for this. I didn't want to miss out, and though it was supposed to be a Gold Box deal that lasted the whole day, I remember them selling out in the past. I'm just glad they didn't hold it until Monday at 3 AM ET.

I am also in EST.... and set the alarm to check to see if the Indy deal was live yet... I was there when the Bond went live... but after 30 minutes reading the boards.. and refreshing Amazon.. time to get back to the zzzzz... and hope to catch Indy if/when it goes live...

I remember reading about a Firefly deal, too. Any clues when that will go up?

Pretty sure that's a glitch. The same thing happened briefly a couple of days ago (that's a set I've had my eye on too). What kind of lightening deal would it be if the price increases from the regular sale price?

I hate this uncertainty about the Indiana Jones set. Couldn't it just be a Gold Box deal for Sunday or Monday? That would be dirty if it just pops up for $30 out of nowhere at some random time, only to sell out in seconds (for those of use who can't sit by the computer 24/7).

I have to go to sleep and I know I'm going to miss it :(

Deals of the Day will work like that. It's Lightning Deals that you have to click from the Lightning Deal link.

That ain't such a bad price for a complete Laserdisc collection. Good stuff, I say!

Look again. Amazon currently sells it for $84 something. The $52 something is a sifferent seller.

Got up around 0830, didn't even get to looking online until around 0915 and lo and behold, there was the Bond set at $99! Ordered!

I'm debating whether to buy the Hitchcock set at $150 or wait if it goes any lower this weekend. Decision, Decision...

My guess is that next year is when to truly get a sale price on that box-set. Beside, fans haven't been very complementary of the transfer of several of the releases in the boxset as is ...

It may still be 34.99. The reason I say that is the way Amazon indicates LDs on your order. They are not the actual product prices that you buy it for, but the regular price with a lightening deal discount at the bottom of the receipt. When Amazon raised the price of the product (like they did yesterday for Bond 50 before the DOTD went live), it may have adjusted the price on the LD calendar.

I hope i'm right becuase I've been saving credit all week for that purchase and I will be pissed it has changed.

I'm starting to think that the Indiana Jones $29.99 deal is the back up deal when/if Bond sells out. The picture that was posted stated that they were "other approved releases of note" as in these prices are approved to go out if necessary when Bond is no longer available.

I think Indiana Jones deal is a cyber Moday gold box deal of the day. Just a hunch.

Looks like Bond is sold out. My Amazon Tool bar which shows what's coming next about 10 minutes early is currently stating, "We are currently in the process of obtaining product information for a new Deal of the Day. Check back soon."

That's exactly how it looks just before a new deal is posted.

Forever Marilyn Blu at $ 26.99.
