^ Interesting. That is good to know. I had tried it in-store (with the $10 GC promo), and it did not prompt to give me the GC. Apparently their online system is better than the in-store system.

It should have worked. I did the $25 GC in-store promo for $100 of TV show title purchases. My total after using a $30 RZ certificate was $75 and I still got the $25 GC.

Best Buy's buy 2 save $10 is definitely different than the buy 2 save $10 on-pack coupons, considering you can go on BB's site now and get $10 off. However, I seem to recall something like this before where BB had their own buy 2 save $10 promotion and the copies in BB didn't have the on-pack coupon.

I don't see why not, they are manufacturer's coupons.

For instance, suppose I buy $52 worth of 3 TV sets + $10 free GC + tax = $56-ish and then use a $10 promo code (GC) from a previous order putting the final total at $46. All logic says that should work, but nobody has posted that they have actually tried it successfully, so I just placed my order without using the $10 promo code so that both the subtotal and out of pocket total is over $50. Hopefully they'll have at least $20 worth ($10 x 2) of stuff I want before the end of September to use my $10 promo codes on.

I saw some of them at Walmart today, and it says "Valid at participating retailers" on it, so that could be a easy out for them to refuse it, especially when they're basically giving you the same deal automatically at the register.

So, we've confirmed that RZ certs do not impact the $10 promo code for >= $50, but I saw no definite answer to whether using a previous $10 promo code (which should be treated like a GC) on a subsequent >= $50 order will affect getting another $10 promo code.

Of course, I've placed 4 regular orders during this promotion and for some reason have never actually gotten the promo codes emailed to me after picking up the orders. I've had to contact customer service every time and they've mailed me a gift card in place of not receiving the savings code.

In the Blu-ray.com forum thread dedicated to the $10 store pickup promotion, there are multiple reports of using a $10 promo code, which drops the total under $50, and still receiving another $10 promo code. By the way, there are over 800 posts now in that thread!

I find it ironic that DVD Talk has a separate Blu-Ray forum, but Blu-Ray.com has the DVD and Blu-Ray talk mixed in 1 forum.

Did they offer the $25 gc for a $100+ online (pick up/ship) Tv-show order before during this promo? Just wondering if they might offer that come Sunday when it is specified in the ad for in-store. Also, the current online promo says to click a list link for TV-shows that are part of it, but that is afaik all TV-shows BBy have and alot of them do not specify the offer. Anyone order any titles that do not specify and still get a free gc somehow when it will not be 0 in your cart?

^ Yeah, thanks. I had gathered as much. Never took advantage of the in-store glitch the first week as there wasn't any deals too interesting for me (also my long week at work). Anyways, the $25 gc has so far only been in-store then and most probably will continue to be next week.
Seeing as BBy is very inconsistent (only some on their "qualifying" list mentions the $10 gc even though any over $14.99 should qualify) I imagine one would have to add the gc to your order and pay for it and then contact BBy to have $10 refunded? Seems like to much of a hassle to me knowing BBy's cs (not the worst, but certainly not the best either).
Edit: Yup, Breaking Bad s3 and 4 plus Walking Dead s2 (all BD) does not give me a free $10 gc.
Anyone ordered $100+ of TV-shows for pickup and gotten a $25 gc instore when picking up?

^ Yeah, don't know if any employee at my local BBy would be that kind. Will see how it goes come Tuesday when I pick up Walking Dead s2 LE preorder.

If you order any 3rd season to get the extra gc and then return that season later, I think you'll be deducted a prorated portion of the GC. Assuming you order a 14.99 title, then you should lost about 3.50 of the extra gift card, but you'll still have the $10 online code and about $6.50 of the extra GC.
If you pick those 2 in store, then you need to pick up either some other TV set you want or pick some $5 DVD TV set to push you over 50, then return the cheapie for refund (minus the prorated part of GC if I read my receipts correctly). You'll lose around $2.50, but you'll still be ahead $7.50
I really hate playing games like that. What I'd do first is just ask the manager if you buy the 2 titles for 49.98 if he'll spot you the 2cents and offer you the card anyway. If I'm the manager I'd probably do it, but what do I know

Also, as a general life experience over the last 10+ years of being an avid deal seeker, the various times I've asked cashiers, supervisors, or managers if they could adjust up the price by a penny or two so I hit a coupon or promo threshold (including times when they were PM'ing another ad and could've easily done that), I've been told no 100% of the time. Doesn't matter what store, what state, what year. I've never met anyone who is that flexible working in retail. They probably exist... somewhere in fantasyland. :-)
