I could be wrong, but my perception is for USA citizens, the dollar keeps getting lower against the lb these days.

The Dollar against the Pound is currently about the same as it was in 2016. The Dollar was much stronger against the Pound in 2017. Today 1 Pound is about $1.40. In 2017 1 Pound about $1.20

Yep. I was at least getting used to the low 30's not too long ago.

5 Blu-Rays for £30 @ Amazon UK -- April 30 - July 1, 2018.

Works out to ~$8 US per disc. Some region free, some not, so peruse accordingly. I did notice quite a few 88/101 Films titles in the mix.

Does anyone know if the Dr. Strange 3D available at Amazon.uk is region free?

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Looks like the 4K scan of Kurosawa's Ran is part of this sale - huge upgrade over the current US version. Region B only. --Peter

Re: International Blu-ray deals

With shipping the prices work out to about $10/title. Not bad if you choose them wisely. --Peter

Be careful of a couple items like BFG which aren't Disney releases in the UK

Thank you very much.
I'll order a copy...:)

Some of those titles (generally the more mainstream stuff, I think) are currently in Amazon UK's 5/£30 sale, so shop carefully.

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Amazon shipping is more. Also Amazon doesn't remove the VAT tax on these sales. Zavvi never removes the VAT tax. Tough to get the absolute lowest price.

Has anyone used base.com? They seem to have the best price on the MOC WESTFRONT 1918 & KAMERADSCHAFT.

I recently purchased a couple of PS4 games through them. I had no issues with my order.

Thanx! Based on your answer & a positive PM I ordered. Should come to $25.31; which is cheaper than just 1 of the 2 Criterion's; & I preferred the Beaver screen caps of MOC; though Beaver preferred the Criterion.

You weren't kidding about base.com 8 days from order in the UK to mailbox in Washington state! Impressive.

2 FOR £25 Criterion BLU-RAYs at Zavvi. Select list, not all Criterions are included.

https://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/criter...ion/offer.list

Region B locked.

I think the following this is today, Friday only as it is listed as a payday sale.
Limited Edition Sinbad Trilogy -
Zavvi currently has this set on sale for about 35 pounds. Currently about 50 pounds at Amazon. Cheapest it has ever been at Amazon is 41 pounds per camelcamelcamel. Zavvi does not remove VAT when shipping to USA like Amazon does. These blu rays are region free.

I had no idea that Criterion had region B blu-rays. Wonder how it impacts MOC/Eureka who I've always looked at as the UK's version of Criterion?

Amazon Italy has several 3 film Oscar collections from various studios available for 9 to 14 euros each set. Shipping is high the equivalent of another set depending on how many you order. Careful you order blu rays as DVDs come in the same packaging and similar price.

Oscar Collection (Gandhi - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner - To Kill a Mockingbird)
Oscar Collection (Zero Dark Thirty - Black Hawk Down - Born on the 4th of July)
Oscar Collection (Les Miserables - Whiplash - Ray)
Oscar Collection (Shakespeare in Love - Elizabeth - Age of Innocence)
Oscar Collection (The Godfather - Chinatown - The Untouchables)
Oscar Collection (Way We Were - Breakfast at Tiffany -Terms of Endearment)

Re: International Blu-ray deals

I see Zavvi shipping to the US has gone up again. It is now 3.99 pounds per order up another 1 pound. Depending how much is ordered with Amazon refunding the VAT, Amazon.co.uk can be the better deal. More comparing is now needed.

Some great deals here. Make sure you are ordering from Amazon.uk. Many of these movies are currently out of stock from Amazon.uk and the site defaults to a 3rd party vendor with stock. You can still order from Amazon,uk but item shipped by Amazon.uk is listed with available from other vendors.

Amazon.de(Germany) is having a 3 for the price of 2 sale on a ton of movies and video games. Don't know if there are any deals to be had, but figured it might be worth a look. I couldn't find a page with everything included.

Probably also worth noting, for those that might be wary of unfamiliar titles on the pricier format, that the DVD versions of a lot of the Network titles are only £1.99. Like the Blu listings, many are sold out, so you have to check the "used and new" listings to order direct from Amazon. I've currently got about 30 in my cart and barely two nickels to rub together . . . :(
