Took 2 weeks to get my Monsters set.

Looked like it shipped from the UK... didn't see anything to tell me though...

The packing tape had all the different locations listed

I was not able to post but last week they finally had the Atom Egoyan boxed set (7 films) for about $5o shipped. I scooped it up and it should be here this coming week.

The Tudors Complete Series set is currently under 23 pounds shipped to US. Price is after removing VAT and adding shipping. Region Free discs. Under $37 if you pay in dollars on their site. Complete series not available in blu in US unless you buy import which is available on Amazon US from various 3rd parties for somewhere between $45 to $50. This is not the cheapest its ever been. It was about 1 pound cheaper in January 2015.

^^^ Is there any additional disc or material on this box set that's not on the individual season sets? I already have those, but I loved the show. I'd be tempted to get this if there's additional extras.

Per a review on Amazon UK:
"There are 4 seasons in the box set (each season within it's own case). Season 4 the last disc has special features.
There is also a bonus disc with deleted scenes, additional footage and other extras."

I don't know if these extras are on any of the individual season sets.

I don't believe so. The show has been off the air for years and The Tudors was never a huge hit to begin with. I believe the complete set merely re-packages the individual seasons together in one set from the existing releases.

re: International Blu-ray deals

I never watched The Tudors (on my list to watch), but I've been comparing the original DVD Boxset released in the US to the new set recently released here and the extras are labeled a bit differently. In some cases they may be the same content, but I've been hesitating to assume that, especially, iirc, the first Set had a slightly longer running time.

So perhaps it's all the same, and I don't know for certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were at least some different extras out there, not making it onto all the various Sets.

The price of The Tutors has gone down . It is now 20.57 pounds shipped to the US or $32.68 if you use Amazon's pay in US $ option.
Depending on what your bank charges for foreign transactions it could be cheaper order in pounds.

Not really a box set deal but a bunch of Masters of Cinemas/Eureka blurays are on sale at amazon.co.uk.

Most of them are region B locked but I believe some of them can be unlocked if you have a Panasonic BD player. Also Mad Detective and Tokyo Sonata are region free. There are some steelbooks on sale for 5.99 pounds, including Rumble Fish and Lifeboat.

Most of them (if not all) at the lowest prices are being sold through an Amazon merchant called BestMediaGroup. Its being fulfilled by Amazon and allows US delivery - however, you don't get the VAT discount because its not being sold by Amazon. Hence, what you pay is the USD equivalent of the advertised price + S/H. 4 of the £5.99 LTD steelbooks cost more than $50 to get stateside

2 for £10 sale until Sep 27th 2015. There is no VAT discount on these as the special price of £5 per title overrides any VAT discounted individual pricing. There are still some great deals to be had. I ordered:

1. Spirits of The Dead (Arrow - region free)
2. Rififi (Arrow - region B)
3. Bay of Blood (Arrow - region free)
4. Runaway Train (Arrow - region B)

Four titles cost me $40 shipped to SoCal (Amazon's currency converter is slightly higher than standard day conversion rate)

Sale (sorted by High to Low pricing):

£19.99 for 5 movies - lowest price on this set not available in the USA (with the exception of 'Charulatha' which has been released by Criterion). Note its Region B. With S/H, came to $31.35 shipped to SoCal

Thanks. And I didn't realize one other thing. The Criterion release of 'Big City' also features 'The Coward' (Kapurush) as an additional feature - and is the same transfer as the one used for the UK release, which means only 2 of the titles in this set are not available in the US. While it suddenly does not seem THAT hot, 'The Hero' (Nayak) is a wonderful film of an actor being plagued by his demons. Am now a little torn as to whether I should cancel my order. I do know the Criterions sport extras that don't exist on the Artificial Eyes release but still....

Sons of Anarchy (Season 1-7) is £34.99 (before VAT tax removal/shipping) right now on Blu-Ray.

Not sure if it has been lower than that in the past.

Wow! I know it's on Netflix but I cannot refuse that price point. I got the same total, so it's about $6.70 per season. Worst case I'll sell it off at some point and double my money.

Deadwood Complete series (Region A and B) - now only $24.40 shipped to the US. Seems like an all time low. Hurts to have paid $65 for the stateside release a few years ago

In retrospect, yeah, but that seemed like a good price for an HBO series at the time. :)

It's apparently not identical to the more expensive American collection, unlike most UK box set releases.

Not just the extras, evidently. I was tempted to buy it & sell my US set, but some customers are still complaining about video fluttering and audio synch problems.

Those were supposed to have been corrected by Paramount with a second edition, but despite Paramount's contention that any problems are the fault of the BD players, customers are saying the issues still remain.

I didn't mind sacrificing the bonus features & packaging to save $, but the poor quality reviews have convinced me to hold off for now. Not enough price differential to risk it.

Some really good deals right now on many box sets. Too lazy to post at the moment, but what did catch my eye was Star Trek Enterprise, shipped, for around $65 USD.

I noticed the Game of Thrones Seasons 1 and 2 steelbooks with Dolby Atmos were £14.99 each with VAT and before shipping.
