Rumors of an impending deal with Greece will drive the Euro up over coming weeks and by association, the British Pound.

There is no "association" between the two currencies as this charts shows. http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?fr...to=EUR&view=5Y

The relationship is how both currencies would trade with the American dollar, not with themselves. All of the major world currencies are linked on a deeper fundamental level than temporary, short-term moves.

Nonsense. The British Pound trades directly against the Euro. This chart has nothing to do with the U.S. Dollar. Nothing short term about a five year chart or ten year if you wish. Sometimes the Euro gains against the pound (such as 2013) and currently it is tanking big time. The ECB announced a major bond buying spree, thus significantly increasing their debt and weakening the Euro. It was in all the papers. Same thing happened in Japan with the same result to the yen. More importantly, if the Euro and British Pound moved together, that chart would be flat.

P.S. Finally received the Superman Anthology. Package looked like it had a rather exciting journey.

Is there a link to the deal? I searched the site and couldn't find anything.

I was interested, but it appears to be mostly recent stuff. I'm more of a classic film collector.

When you say classic, how far back are you going? They have stuff from the 1960s and 1970s on sale pretty frequently in their sales. I also picked up the Hitchcock collection for $43 in November. I'm waiting on another sale where they have Arrow video titles so I can test out my BD player and see if I can use a region hack to watch locked BD's.

I bought the UK monsters. Basically same as the US, & region free. Highly recommended with one caveat: If you have an old 4:3 TV you can't remove the pillarboxing, as zoom is set as a upo (defeated).

you got me. I have NO idea of what this means.
(I don't have an old 4:3 TV, but am very curious).
What is UPO?

I think he meant UOP (User Operation Prohibition). It's when the DVD/Blu-ray disc prevents certain user actions, such as skipping past the FBI copyright warning, or turning off subtitles on some foreign DVDs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_operation_prohibition

Not sure why the Blu-ray would prohibit zooming, but one work around would be to use the zoom option on the TV instead of the Blu-ray player.

I think that's the first I've heard of a zoom-prohibitive feature. That's just ridiculous.

How did a USA resident get an Amazon.UK coupon? I've bought quite a bit from them & never been offered anything!

I get them occasionally, but they are 10 off "something" (usually 10 off 40). I get them from the .de site as well.

I bought some box sets this year and they sent me a survey. As a thank you for the survey, they sent me a 10 pound coupon.

The monster set is on backorder. assuming they will get it in stock again and will honor the price. at 80 cents a blu-ray movie, it was too good a bargain to pass up.

I never had any problems ordering from uk. I used to have a region free oppo, and ordered R2 DVDs. Don't have that anymore but there is a fair amount of region free blu-rays available at uk that are better/cheaper than their US counterpart, so I still occasionally do business with them.

I have gotten surveys from other companies, with a thank you coupon follow up. Haven't seen any rhyme or reason. Sometimes this happens with companies I hardly do business with, and sometimes I never get a survey/coupon from companies I have done a lot of business with for years. Think it is really random, so can't think of a recommendation on how to get these.
