I remember 10 months ago when he first told me my order was going out by the end of the week.

I remember a few weeks after that when he told me my order was going out by the end of the week.

I remember 9 months ago when he told me my order was going out by the end of the week.

I remember when he said that if you had an order that didn't go out by some convention, that you would get a full refund and the movies and you also didn't have to just show up at the convention for it to happen.

I have the same memories. No discs or refunds mind you but at least I've got those memories to keep me going.

It does take a lot of effort. On the other hand, if he just stopped posting, he'd get more threats and people showing up in person in hulk smash mode.

I recommend showing up in person by the way, it works.

I'm sure he's not the first person to get in over his head, and i'm sure he's not the last.

If he was so disrespectful nobody would come to his defense.

My 2 cents.
No offense, but what I want to tell you most likely get me banned.
Supporters of Demetrios and horror movie empire suck just like the owner.

Lots of people still owned movies or refunds live oversea,Canada or on the west coast. This forum and few others are the only way to keep up on this thief and liar.
He screwed a lot of people, and the longer he drags it out,the more likely more buyers will forget about ever getting anything.
I'm sure so bad shit has happened to him over the years, for doing so many wrong.
Yea I'm mad bro

Welp, I just got my refund (from Cosmic Empire, LLC) even though I never requested one, I just wanted the films. But this is still a good thing at this point.

Funny, I was at a con HME was supposed to be vending at last weekend. I looked all over, but only saw one guy selling Synapse/BU blu-rays (for $25 each). It was under a different name and I can't recall if it was Cosmic Empire, but the HME banner was nowhere to be seen. The guy in the booth didn't really resemble the photos I'd seen of Demetrios. He actually looked more like the couchcutter guy, but who knows -- half the men there were intimidating looking bald fellows in Slipknot t-shirts, so I might have just gotten confused.

Was the HME banner on display? I honestly didn't see it. Not sure if I would have said anything since I got my PayPal refund months ago, but I definitely wanted to see him in the flesh.

Were you the guy selling the Star Wars toys?

Apologies for the bump, but I was quite surprised the other day ago when I received emails from both PayPal and HME notifying me of a $10 refund for my order (which was placed nearly 2 years ago!). Better late than never, I guess.

I did and it was there. With a few bonus items (mostly freebies and dead stock but still a fe cool items).

The mom came to the door this time and when I brought up Demetrios she got a very "Oh Fuck" vibe going. But brother showed up with the bag and defused that weird situation.

Original Order:
1 - Machine Gun McCain (Blu-ray DVD) $10.00
1 - Fire and Ice (Blu-ray DVD) $10.00
1 - Contamination $7.00
1 - Eugenie: The Story Of Her Journey Into Perversion $7.00
1 - Night Train Murders (Blu-Ray) (PRE-ORDER 1/31/2012) $10.00
1 - Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion (DVD) $7.00
1 - 10th Victim (Blu-Ray) $10.00
1 - Toolbox Murders (1978) Blu-Ray $10.00
1 - Zombie (Blu-Ray) $10.00
Subtotal: $81.00
Tax : $0.00
Total: $81.00
Balance Due: $0.00

Of that Order I got:
Eugenie: The Story Of Her Journey Into Perversion
Toolbox Murders
Refund of $65 ($1 more than refund value)

I also received:
A Synapse Films T-Shirt (Small (will try to make the wife wear (maybe in conjunction with that Monster Bra from Full Moon)))
A CD or single from what I am assuming is a metal band
A independent horror film called Lethal Obsession
A black cat 13 patch
A bobble head from The Beyond (cool but would have never bought)
A Hands Of The Ripper Coffee Cup (cooler still but also would never have bough)
&
An old issue of Horror Hound (in good condition with The Thing retrospective (I am more of a Fango person but also pretty cool).

Not sure if it was quite worth the whole ordeal and I will defiantly not be buying from him again but I am reasonably satisfied at this point.

I am giving the T-Shirt to my little nephew as part of his birthday present. And that Lethal Obsession was one of, if not the worst movie I watched during the 2012 OHMC.

Did anyone ever learn the real story behind this "sale?" Someone needs to write an expose or something about it.

Succinct version: Little Demetrios's first Ponzi scheme to buy a house (not a joke); white-collar crime with a "blu(e)" twist.

I would rather it just go away.

You are lucky you received most of what you ordered as you live close to him I guess. But he screwed over 100's,and still owes them refunds or their movies.

Demetrios is the biggest Scumbag. He ripped off 100's of people. Can not remember how many,it has been so long.

I did receive part of my order.Anyone have a current email for him?
Did he change the name of his business?

I heard a rumor he joined ISIS, and is a freelance fighter in another country.

A whole lot of emotions came flooding back when I saw this thread bumped... I heard he joined a small Belgian circus.
