Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

Figures that I just bought Pulp Fiction for $10 and The Crow for $9. I can take Pulp back still, but I wonder if Amazon is going to match these. They'd better.

Disappointed that LOTR EE isn't more like $40. Bother.

Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

Just saw "Horrible Bosses" Combo Pack is $20 at BB now, but I'll wait til Black Friday to get it for $12. Are all of the items in that ad doorbusters though? I work Black Friday morning, so if they are, I won't be able to get them.

FWIW, Target will have Pulp Fiction for $3.99 on BF.

Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

There are many titles I plan on buying from the above lists, but I really really really hope Amazon PM's. I am Premier Silver at least, so I may get an advance opportunity for some of these titles online, but I dunno if any of these will be part of the advance sale.

Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

LOL I'll probably be in Best Buy at midnight using my IPad to see if Amazon price matches them right then and there so I can save tax.

But I was hoping LOTR EE was going to get a Black Friday deal and I was right! So that's a must have.

You can add these BD/DVD/DC combo packs to the OP.

Horrible Bosses: Totally Inappropriate Edition - $11.99
Crazy Stupid Love - $11.99
Green Lantern - $9.99
Fast Five - $9.99
X-Men: First Class - $9.99

Green Lantern, Fast Five and X-Men: First Class are all three doorbusters.

That's IF Amazon matches. They usually match some of them during BF week, but rarely all of them. To me the bigger question is whether Walmart will PM them at 10 PM or midnight, but there's no way I'll know until it happens because one hand of Walmart (or most other large retailers) doesn't know what the other is doing. I guarantee if I walked around and ask employees now, none of them would know (or they would just invent an answer to get rid of me). Only the store managers will know and only the day before.

I do know this... I've never been to a mall or BB on BF and unless there are extraordinary circumstances (or I'm forced to go by someone else) I don't plan on going to BB, so it's PM or nothing. It's bad enough waiting 1-2 hours in line at Walmart, but they usually have enough stuff to justify it and they are almost next door to my house. BB is a longer drive. This BB list has some stuff but not enough to justify the time. Here's hoping they have this stuff online, but here's the killer... if they don't put BF deals up until midnight most of us will be out at the stores because they've all moved their BF up. Then by the time I get back everything online will be OOS. I preferred the good old days when it didn't start until 4-5 AM because at least I could be online at midnight to pick up a few things. I hate BF's unpredictability.

Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

A couple more items you missed:

$9.99
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Blu-Ray only)

$18.99
The Big Bang Theory: Season 4
Breaking Bad: Season 1
Breaking Bad: Season 2
Eastbound and Down: Season 1
Eastbound and Down: Season 2
Entourage: Season 6
Entourage: Season 7
Glee: Season 1
Sons of Anarchy: Season 1
Sons of Anarchy: Season 2
Sons of Anarchy: Season 3
Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena

$19.99
Lady Gaga: The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden
Taylor Swift: Speak Now World Tour Live

I'm also kinda curious if anyone will be able to obtain the full list of $7.99 titles (the ad actually states there will be over 140 titles). Less so about the over 80 $10.99 titles. But if these insiders can find the ads so far in advance...surely someone can manage to sneak the full list.

I was hoping Star Wars might be part of the sale. Any news on any stores that are offering deals on it for BF?

Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

I will only get some of these deals if they are available on line. For me its better to pay more than to brave the insanity that is a store on Black Friday or if its Walmart, late night on Thanksgiving. Good luck to those who line up hours before the store opens. Be safe and please don't injure anyone trying to get that bargain. I will be asleep or on line.

Mad Men Seasons 1-4 $8.99 each Beats last year's $9.99 Amazon Deal. Hopefully Amazon will match this. There are 2 dots for the Mad Men sets one for the DVD and one for the Blu Ray. Both sets are $8.99

Re: Best Buy Black Friday ad

Picking up a desperately needed new Blu-ray player that particular day, so this sounds like a good time to finally upgrade my VHS copy of PULP FICTION to Blu-ray. I'll probably try to snag a copy of Inception $5 & Fast Five combo pack $10 as well.

It was $44.99 at Amazon.ca for their Thanksgiving sales in October. Of course with shipping to the states the price was about $55. Maybe Amazon.com will match their Canadian site.

Damn... some nice deals there. Glad I held off picking some of those Blus on their release date.

Definitely in for Big Bang S4.

Mad Men's best season is season 4, and that is saying a ton.

And for those who don't remember, last year Amazon matched most of the bigger titles, and BB.com had most of them also for sale Thanksgiving Day online.
