re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

Amazon has just shipped out a third Peanuts Holiday collection from the lightening deal to us.

Te first one shipped then we got an email from amazon saying there we as problem with it and they mailed a replacement right away. They did. We received it. Earlier today they sent me an email saying the same problem with the second shipment, throne we already received and that they wold ship out another, they did.

So we got one and have another on the way. If I get it I'll just call to let them know.

No, it is a DLP. I bought it during last year's Black Friday. Ultimate Electronics had it for $599, and Amazon pricematched it. But the delivery didn't come during the scheduled time, so they game me $50 back. I wasn't planning on wall-mounting a TV anyway, so I don't mind the DLP. It is actually very lightweight, and the picture is fantastic!

I love my 62" DLP. To me it looks more like film and less digital video than Plasma, LCD and LED.

re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

I just realized I bought close to 60 blu-rays past 30 days and cost me over $1500. Mostly from Amazon lightning deals and sale on other website.

Wow!

I didn't realize this when I bought each blu-ray because price was so cheap... but now when I add all together...

BAM!

The Blu Ray's a limited print run, which is why the price is as high as it is. The DVD is in the regular reasonable price range.

Wait... that is an average of $25 a movie? Even if I count a blu set as one "movie" instead of like the 5 films in the set, I'm well under that. Are you sure you did your math right?

I bought over 100 titles since Black Friday week, and I REFUSE to add up my total. I just don't want to know how much I spent, cuz I know it is a LOT! But I estimate I spent less than you. My average should be closer to $12/title I'm guessing.

If you have access to a Costco, they've been $19.99 there for several weeks now.

Depends on how you look at it. We do not have live TV that comes into the house. In short I/we buy them on disc. I just got my GF all Rescues Me and Two and a Half men (for me). For the cost of one month of DTV. I also download TV shows and watch them late at night being I pay for wildblue same with my Droid. In short it saves us money and we own the discs.

This started not for the cost but I would watch a show and they would cancel it without a ending. I just stop watching live TV.

I do not use change thought out the year. Yes if I am at a store and it comes to $2.02 I give them $3 even if I have the .02. Days before Amazon sale. I cash the change in and use it. I know what I start off at and use it till I am done. I can say this year I have spent way less then in the past. This way I do not have to used a CC or another card.

Yes, it does bug the cashier when I pay for something and then buy something else. When they ask if I have .02 I tell them no.

Do you get pissed when the cashier takes 2 pennies out of the "take a penny" tray and gives you $1 back?
