Was thinking about getting Salo b/c I really really want it, but annoyed that it's higher than any of the other Criterions from the past month and then they throw tax on top. It becomes $25, better than I can currently get it, but more than next month by enough that I'm not sure. I'll probably bite the bullet b/c like I said, I do really want it.

I had just placed an order late last night for a couple of titles including "The Crow". I put in a request to cancel it separately, then went back and canceled the other items so i could use the code on them. I got the same email despite "The Crow" not coming out until next week and the other items not being released until next month.

I sent an email to try and resolve it. If that doesn't take care of it i will give them a call.

I went for Evil Dead II for $5.99. I thought about trying for Pulp Fiction with a guest checkout or something, but that'll be selling for $10 in no time so I'm in no rush to buy it.

Is there anything special about this Evil Dead II release? I can't find any info on it and already have the older blu-ray release.

Site is down at the moment. All day long it's been barely loading for me. They can't handle the traffic from a five dollar coupon promotion? Typical. And I looked up at least 20 DVDs today, all from major studios, and they didn't have a single one. Alas with DD, that's also become typical.

I tried to order Troma's Mother's Day BD, but it lists a release date of Jan. 2025.

I put Evil Dead 2 in my shopping cart, enter the code and click "apply" ... empty shopping cart.

Same thing happened to me a few months ago when I tried applying a code like this to The Killing.

and their website is down.... fucking typical of DD... I don't mind them, but they have slipped so far since dropping the "dvd" from their name.

They flat out lie to you sometimes. I tried to cancel my Star Wars BD set a week and a half before the street date. They sent the same message telling me it was too late because the item was processing. I wrote back and told them that any other retailer would be able to cancel an order that far in advance. I also mentioned that if their processing took that much time, they should at least pay return shipping, as I had given sufficient notice of my intent to cancel. I got another e-mail shortly after confirming the cancellation. Apparently, it wasn't so impossible.

Like many of you, I had some big issues trying to place an order on the website. It just wouldn't finish the order. I'd go to check out, and it would ask me to log in. Then it would make me go through all the steps again, adding my address and billing information despite the fact that I have used the new website. I must have done that at least 5 times or so, each time it would reach a point where instead of going to the next step, it would take me back to the log-in screen with an empty cart. So frustrating! Ultimately, I was finally able to place the order. I was worried about it, though, because I didn't receive a confirmation email last night. Luckily, I received one this morning, so I guess everything went through all right.

I used google checkout and it was a breeze....and you can use the code multiple times if you select not to share your email address with the vender.

Yeah, I use paypal to complete the order and never have an issue either.

I got Gamera 3: Revenge of the Iris for $.99 shipped... actually less than that because I had a few cents left in my Paypal which is how I always check out at DD.

It's been pushed back all year. The most recent release date was a couple weeks ago but that changed and there isn't a new one yet.
