Everyone should buy those Star Wars sets then return them because they're not the original versions.

I've probably bought most Star Wars releases, but I could probably be talked into the Barbie release rather than the Star Wars release, this time.

Looks like the best we can hope for on Thor is $22.99 from BB and/or Amazon.

$25 is kind of high imo for a non-3D version of any new release.

So it's cheaper to buy the Star wars sets individually!

What's worrying me is that I really want to go grab it at Target, but I really hate that stupid wire crap they put on the sets, I know it'll crush the box.

Yes, but you don't get the extra discs.

Awesome, that means Amazon's price should drop another $10.

Am I retarded? How is it cheaper?

If it's mean a penny cheaper, then I'll gladly pay a penny for three extra blu-ray discs.

I was just saying it's cheaper! I didn't say I wasn't going to get the complete series. And I wouldn't get the lithograph..

It's about an inch think.. so hopefully your store will put them in those plastic clamshells used for dvd boxsets.

Re: Target Media Prices (September 11 - 17, 2011)

You just know there will be better prices on the Star Wars sets on Black Friday (week). Whether they'll be cheaper than $49.99, I don't know. I suppose if my $44 + tax B&N preorder comes through, the answer could be yes, but I can't see the whole 1-6 set being much cheaper than $40 even as a BF doorbuster.

Have any of the star wars sets ever been on sale Black friday before? If not, what would make you think it will be different this time.

Wal-Mart had the crappy but unaltered versions on sale Black Friday after they had come out, they were the exclusive editions with the comic bo- uh, I mean graphic novels, too.

As you know, certainly the BDs of Star Wars haven't been on sale as this is their first release, but I thought the DVD sets went on sale once upon a BF. I only mentioned it since the most popular releases of the year (which would be things like Harry Potters, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars) tend to be BF sale items, so with BF near I don't think there's a need to worry too much about missing current sales on the most popular stuff. Just speculation...
