I was not aware of such a code. Obviously, you are much smarter than me. Please accept my apologies for trying to help out other forum members.
From now on, I will not bother.

And thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to mock those of us who are clearly inferior.

I await the infinite wisdom of your next helpful comment.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

One last order:

Days of Heaven
Naked

That puts my Criterion BD count at 36 + the BBS box. All ordered since last July... ridiculous.

Still haven't got around to picking up Black Narcissus and Beauty and the Beast on BD (each would be DVD upgrades). I passed on both for under $18 during a coupon glitch at Deep Discount last month, so I can't really justify paying more right now when there are other classic titles I've yet to purchase on any format. I made an exception for Diabolique, as I found my old 1999 DVD edition a bit lacking. Hopefully, I'll get those two during the next sale.

Most of us used that one-timer weeks ago.

So, yes, the multiple use 10% code is the best option for just about everyone here.

Yes. 15% off one item isn't as good as 10% off the entire order unless you only order one item.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

To anyone very familiar with B&N's coupon releases: how likely do you think it is for a coupon higher than 15% off to be released before the end of the Criterion sale?

I know this is only guess work, but I am just curious if anyone could give a semi-accurate prediction as I can't decide whether I should go ahead and get the titles I want now with the 15% off or wait for something better. Thanks in advance!

You should repost or link to your post in which you gave instructions for how to use the 15% coupon multiple times. It's one of the most useful and money-saving posts in this thread, but I think a lot of people missed it.

Pull up the BN.com site without being logged in to your membership account. Add 1 title to your cart, enter the 15% off code (posted on page 6), then log in to your account and the coupon will stick. If you try to do it while being logged in, it will only let you use the coupon once.

LASERMOVIES said there will more than likely be a 20% coupon before the end of the sale.

I just got Au Revoir Les Enfants, Solaris, The Thin Red Line, Gimme Shelter, and Paths of Glory all for only $90. I abused the hell out of some coupon codes I found online. I'm not even a member and I'm super happy about these savings.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

I should have used John Galt's method for 15% off, but the comments about it being wasted on orders under $25 (due to shipping costs) convinced me to go the AAA route. Didn't realize the free trial included no minimum free shipping.

Oh, well... maybe next time.

Cool, thanks. I think I'm going to hold out for that coupon and, in case it doesn't come before the end of the sale, just use the 15% off. Hopefully they keep allowing coupons online.

There is one big omission you left out. The coupon most likely will be for B&N members. It has been fairly typical lately for B&N to issue 4 day coupons valid at stores and online. Usually there is a 20% coupon for members, and a 15% coupon for customers without a membership, but if you have a membership you can use both coupons.

Also it's possible these coupons might be one time use coupons, which means they could only be redeemed once by a single customer before becoming invalid for anyone else that tries to use the same coupon. To receive these coupons requires being signed up and receiving coupon offers directly from B&N. I'm hoping they will also have generic coupons that any customer or B&N member can use as well. If there are any new regular coupons I'll add them to the first page of the B&N coupon thread when they become available.

Apparently that's a web site glitch. If B&N catches on they will probably fix it to prevent the coupon from being used multiple times.

Just got my shipment via UPS. 3 Blu-rays in a thin corrugated cardboard mailer. 2 out of 3 badly bent cases: Piss Poor Barnes & Noble, Piss Poor.

There is a huge distribution warehouse in Louisville that a lot of retailers use.

Ah... That explains that. We have an Amazon here in Lexington... I've had items ship from there and sent to Indy before shipping back to Lexington.

Good to know though since I couldn't get to the store this week... I'll just order online from now on.

Me too. I ordered totally 7 Criterion Blus in 2 separate orders, all 2 shipments came with the very thin corrugated paper packing (it's hardly called a cardboard IMO).
3 Blu-ray cases were severly damaged due to the poor packing and material used. I called BN yesterday at once for the replacements and asked the customer service why BN changed the way to pack the package. All boxes came with dents. It's not the regular cheap $5 blu-ray, it's Criterion Blu-ray! It's meant to be a collectable item for all our Film Lovers. Let see what the replacements will be packed.
