Worked for me also although the cashier did hesitate a little. She looked at the coupon and said, "I don't think it will scan" and then she scanned it, looked at it again and said, "Huh."

Hobo with a Shotgun comes out on the 18th if I'm not mistaken, not next week.

EDIT: Nevermind. Looks like they pushed up the release date.

Has anybody ordered online, then gone back into a store for an exchange with the $5 coupon? I've done that with mfg coupons, and they would refund the difference (either cash or a chargeback.)
You sure they aren't just in the back? See if you can place a store pickup order. Then you'll know if they really have them. If they do, I wouldnt even go through the hassle of placing the order, returning it, and rebuying. Just make them go in the back and get it.

^^^^

It is a good idea to ask them about stock you don't see on the floor. When BTTF was on sale, they didn't have any on the floor, but pulled about 5 copies that were sitting in the back.

The one best buy put The Island out as a new release this week. Stickered $19.99 regular price.

As for the coupon...Worked flawlessly on Sucker Punch, plus I had a $15 RZ certificate earmarked for this movie...so $3.20 out the door for me. Love it...

Please note however that the coupon will not work if a RZ certificate is scanned before it. My cashier had to call a manager to void the transaction and re-enter the whole thing. If your cashiers are not high 24/7 like they are in Austin, this may give them ample time to read the coupon's fine print ("Not good on sale prices") and reject it.

After my $5 RZ, $5 coupon, and $25 GC from buying Zelda OOT last week I walked out with the set for $39.xx after 8.25% tax.

$64.99 aint a bad base price though. And no waiting. I believe even with our high-ass taxes it came to just over $70 total.

I don't know who in their right mind is paying $30 extra for those little pewter figures though. They looked like Monopoly pieces.
oh thank god the cashier lady did it all in the right order - no problem with the RZ certificate and the 5 dollar off coupon for LOTR EE BR

$24.99 though (which is the sticker price, but I had them scan to confirm). I have to pass on this for now. $20 with the coupon isn't low enough. I saw it in the theater anyway ($5 for a midnight show), so I can wait. If you like Grindhouse films, I definitely recommend it!

Sorry I didn't read through all the posts, but does this coupon stack with a Disney Rewards Coupon? Thanks.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

The Nightmare Before Christmas is 19.99 in store, 14.99 after coupon. This rarely drops below $20 so this isn't a bad deal.

Had no problems using it on Sucker Punch yesterday ... they didn't even flinch. And this was at a Best Buy where they always give me a hard time with the Disney coupons.

I'm not a fan of 3D and I don't feel like paying a premium for the technology so this one is fine with me.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

Chip N Dale, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, and Talespin are good options with this coupon since they are $14.99 I got Chip N Dale since I've seen most of these hover around $10 previously

The coupon says 1 item on it, so I've been using 1 per.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I finally picked up North by Northwest as I was getting tired of waiting for it to drop in price. I wanted to get Sling Blade (the website said it was unavailable at the store but I was hoping there was at least one copy to snag but no luck) so I picked up The Man From Nowhere instead. Neither of the two I got were on sale but I had a 10 reward zone certificate to blow.

North by Northwest

24.99
(5.00) coupon
(5.00) RZ certificate
-------
14.99

The Man From Nowhere

16.99
(5.00) coupon
(5.00) RZ certificate
-------
6.99

14.99 + 6.99 = 21.98 before tax.

Not bad, IMO.
